Now I feel like this car for me is a little bit expensive even the car has not any problems. I drive to work so every month I might spend $150 on gas, I got drive license only 1 year, so the insurance cost is like $3400/yr, I didn't go to dealer for maintenance yet, only changed oil, engine oil and filter. I can't expect if the car has any problem in the future. I did math I probably need spend $6000 if the car didn't have problem in a whole year.

1.I'm thinking to trade this car in a fuel economy car like Civic or you guys have some recommendations. Will it helps me to save more money in the future?

2.I sell this car, borrow my dad's old Camry.

Just graduate from community college, i dont make good money at NYC.

can you guys give me some suggestions.

thank you!
My advice is if you can't afford don't keep it, for a first car a G37 is pretty luxurious just saying when I got my first car was when i was 16 a 500 dollar Toyota Corolla I believe it was and I paid it in payment to a friend, at that age I was able to have low cost used cars like that and also had a 89 prelude si which I loved at the time in High School and 5 speed! Anyways cut it short you can always buy a nice car later in be future I'm in a similar boat as well this is my second g37 now and seriously idk what it is but my driving record I pay 180 a mo of insurance to Geico which is outrageous and 400 car payment and it's killing me, I'm just getting a house and trying to figure out what I'm going to do, I should be getting a lower quote from Geico in September because I'll turn 25 and one speeding ticket off my record, I hope I'm able to keep it but I'm tired of big payments for a car which I rather put towards my house. I would say stick with your gut and if you do get something paid cash and reliable or less than 10k with better gas mileage, I only average 21mpg but drive a lot since I'm living far from work until the escrow closes on the house. Good luck!

we probably are same age, 1991 is a sign. Your insurance is not bad, they told me i would get maybe half price of now if i stayed in my insurance company for 2 years. I recommend you sell the car, because the payment is killing you right now, fortunately my car is from my dad. so i don't pay any money except the insurance and gas. Despite selling this car right now, I should try to make more money in the future and then stick with my car lol.

you are right, I would say put the money in your house mortgage is wise.

Your definitely right it's just hard for me because I love my car and can't see myself in another one and worried because I have had cars that I would need to fix and wasn't worth the headache and now that I have had this one it's been great and reliable plus with Infiniti elite warranty, in going to see what occurs in the next months and see how I do with finances and decide.
