Excellent move on the mats. If the paint holds up only for a year, big deal... You just repaint them. If it holds up forever, all the better.

I've been wanting to do it for ages but just kept putting it off and you gave me the extra push haha. It's bed liner so it's more of a thick black rubberized coating, but not removable so it should last for a while. Like you said if it needs touched up just run to Walmart and get another can. Way cheaper than buying new ones.

Side note: Brad I wasnt quite sure how'd those look once they went on, especially since they're 18s. They look deceptively big and really go well with your car from that side anlge. Nice choice!

That color change in those all weather mats is awesome and they came out great Mike! I wouldn't have ever thought about doing that. You get an A+ for a unique idea in my book!

Excellent job thinking outside the box for a solution, those came out great. Keep us posted on how they hold up.

And thanks on the kind words w/ the wheels. I saw plenty of pics of them on other vehicles but none on a G Sedan so I wasn't sure how they would turn out, but I'm glad I took the jump, couldn't be happier at this point

About the only way I can lose weight these days, lol.

Thanks I love to DIY stuff, get most bang for your buck. Try to channel my inner Brad as much as I can I have a few more DIY projects up my sleeve in the next month or two to keep an eye out for.

Haha I know the feeling man about the weight , how much weight did you drop between your 20s and those?

About 10 lbs per wheel and a couple more on the tires so about 48lbs total
And I can definitely feel it all around, especially on launch.

Look forward to what you've got up your DIY sleeve

MN roads = Snow/Ice, Snow/Ice = Salt, Snow/Ice/Salt = Hideous Rusty Rotors and Calipers..

Finally finished getting rid of that eyesore. While I was in there, New Akebono Pads & 20mm spacers all around.

Before

After

Thanks Kenny! It was a bit of a process but I'll call it an improvement. The G's looking much "healthier"now .

Did you try to clean off the surface rust, or just apply the paint directly with something specific to the job, like Por15 silver?
