The Sedan Exhaust Thread
What's it sound like when it's not going whacka whacka whacka? I bet if you cruised around that garage in second gear while a buddy filmed, it would sound awesome.

Have to say, for a shop modification that looks really clean. I've seen shops butcher the living Hell out of a job like that. Did they do all the welds as well or did it come pre-assembled and they just hung it for you and just applied the extension?
LOL. It seems I am. My bad, didn't realize that's what was going on. Good thing you didn't launch the car into the wall. That would have been a heck of a thing.

Nice. Those little pops and burps make for a very aggressive sound, far more exotic that you would expect from a car like this. My exhaust doesn't share that characteristic. It's note is equally deep, but consistent. Seems your choices in cats and cans has created something unique.
Never understood the value of "cold start" videos, but once it tamped down to normal idle, it sounded fantastic, Z.

Thabks! I'm glad you like it. I kind of took a gamble with the AAM HFC, not many people are running them. They're a 200cel count, and surprisingly didn't throw a CEL. I may take up your idea on getting a custom bracket welded up because I'm not very comfortable with them just hanging like that along with my $1500 exhaust.
200 cell count is low, like the original Berks, IIRC. Good luck with the CEL. I bet you're right on the edge.
No brackets on the AAM, huh? If you do pay someone to custom weld something, there goes your cost savings. Here:

That random pop and pop in the exhaust that the Jag is renowned for. I like that. Looking forward to hearing it in person come August. It would be very cool if someone did a video montage of different exhausts at the meet-up.

Shop did a good job overall, but I was also standing right there watching and commenting (in a nice way, making friends with the guy). I feel that made a huge difference in the quality of work.
ECUTEK can disable the code, so it can still pass emissions. It won't show up as "not ready". These HFC didn't throw a code anyways, so I'm not too worried.

Dammit, Z. That's twice in two days you shut me down. I need to stop commenting.
