To buy or not to buy

Currently I have a G37 sedan 2013 with 72mm TB and Z1 upper intake, also I have my old 19 inch wheels waiting for tires and installation. I am considering trading for the Q30S (you know the one with the 400hp). Do I pull the trigger or wait for another year or two before I do that.

I'm only seeing a Q30 crossover type vehicle with 208 HP. Are you referring to the Q50 Red Sport?

Yes, I am referring to the Q50 sport with the 3.0L engine twin turbo.

Personally I'd give it a year or two to try and work out the kinks.

^^ Agreed I would never buy a new car with a brand new motor and tranny.. You never know what your getting into. I'd say wait and let them take care of the issues. If any at all..

Always buy the last year of the generation...these will have most kinks figured out.
That twin turbo is quite alluring though...

Trading in a 3 year old car for the first model year of a new boosted engine sold at premium pricing... What could possibly go wrong?

Cool your jets, OP. Get your rush out of riding that bike, and look at this fresh when there's some objective hindsight available. At least another year.

The Q50 Red Sport is going to be a pretty steep improvement over the G in terms of performance and power to cost ratio. Depends what you are looking for in the car though. Personally I would wait for the coupe to come later this summer. Even though I am a sedan guy and only drive manual, the coupe has me tempted.

Also depends if you are buying or leasing. I usually wait until some used cars start showing up on a new model before I make any decisions..

It's crossed my mind more than once, but live and learn and what they are saying above is so true...give it a couple of years...it will still be fun and(each year some things that you paid for initially may become standard...maybe )more importantly, you won't(possibly) spend that time with car in shop and/or working out the engineering mishaps etc...if you have to do it and get a nice deal, at least consider leasing, at least if its a bust and just doesn't live up, you have a somewhat easier way out...

Leased my 2015 Q50S (VQ) and in 3 years all the kinks will be gone.
That is when I'll be looking at the current Q50S and enjoy the problem free ride.
