trade in value for 2011 G37 coupe (with sport and nav)

Has anyone else traded in (or gotten a quote to trade in), their 2011 G37 coupe with sport and nav? I'm not looking for private party sales, but 'traded in'. I'm looking for what would be appropriate for a dealer to offer

Carmax offered me for my 11' Journey with Aero Package + Nav and all the goodies $16k.. that's with 42k miles. I've been looking at a E92 M3 but none have fallen to the price range or specs I wanted. So I'm keeping my G for something in the future. Try Carmax they seem to offer close to KBB value.

Generally, Carmax will be a few grand (or worse) below KBB for trade-in. They will not show you the information they use to come up with the value of the vehicle. Generally, they look at what cars have gone for at auctions and price yours out lower to insure they'll make a profit no matter what.

Your best bet is to either trade it in at a place that'll negotiate or a private sale. Carmax should be your last resort. Also, if you're even considering selling it to Carmax DO NOT get it appraised by them until you're ready to hand over the keys. If you go back in a month, they'll drop your appraisal value substantially. It'll never be the same or higher than your first appraisal. You can also go to kbb.com and look up your car's value for free.

I'd suggest selling the car to a private party, $16k seems like a ripoff for such low mileage. Put in a few hours of work and get an additional $1-2k to spend on a nice vacation or mods for your next car.
