Tinting

Sorry if this is a repeat post, I tried searching the site for relevant threads dedicated to this but couldn't. Anyway for those who have tinted their cars what was the total price paid? What tint % did you use and what manufacturer was it? Are there any of you who did it yourself and if so what did you use and do you recommend it? For those who are in North Carolina and live in the triangle are there any local shops you would recommend?

Thanks!

Had a cheap old tint that ended up peeling. Went to a local tinter with a good reputation. Paid a little under 300 i think to remove the old tint and apply 35% all around bar the windshield. Tint was way thicker than the cheap crap that was originally on the car. Guy gave me a lifetime warranty for no fading, peeling, bubbles, etc

Id use a buddy who knows how to do it and used to work at a body shop. Ill probably end up taking it to a place I just don't really know any good reputable places around where I am (even after googling lol). 35% is what I was going to get do you feel that it keeps enough heat out?

Yeah it does a good job of keeping out the heat. Suntek or 3M are best for uv rejection.

$220 for all 4 windows plus quarter windows and rear window. Product is called Solar Gard Galaxie HP Smoke 35% all around with lifetime warranty. No complaints about the film. Don't know how it compares to others, and I don't care lol. It does the job.

I payed $250 for 3m 20% tint that came with a lifetime warranty thankfully. So if they ever peel or anything they'll get fixed at no charge

Thats a good price. I think it'll be one of the next mods I do due to temperatures increasing.

That was the absolute first thing I did, not just for looks but for its functionality of course. Brought it to the tint shop 3 days after the car got its plates

Thanks for all the pricings for this. Im going to try to convince the wife to go ahead and let me tint it before my black interior turns into an easy bake oven.
