Got 35% LLumar CTX Ceramic Series on the doors and rear window. I've never noticed, nor thought to look, but they tinted the entire rear window - brake light included.

I had them also remove the old tint that was on the car as it was poorly maintained by the previous owner.

They charged me $300 for the removal and then installing the new. I think it would have been $200 if I didn't have to remove the old tint.

They did an excellent job and the old tint removed with ease. The refraction lines in the rear window are pretty much gone now but were noticeable when the tint was newly applied.

Now there's a Spectra Photosync series they're doing which is a price point above ceramic.

Use Sprayway and a lint free cloth to clean them. No issues there either and it does a great job getting the windows clean without streaks or scratches.

Not if done correctly like using blue bat overlays! But I think the heavily dark tint on taillights look cheap, maybe look into the GTR style 20 percent overlay!

Not only does it look bad, but kills your tail light visibility (so you've got a much higher chance of being rear ended), and also if you DO get rear ended insurance can deny you repairs because you modified the lights.

Screwing with the lights is one mod i won't do. Most of the time smoked lights just look like they are dirty anyways.

I'll admit the GTR style ones look kind of cool, but still i wouldn't do it.

I like a light smoke. I always thought the red from the factory was a little TOO red. Anything darker than this and it begins to look tacky. I don't believe this kind of smoke will hinder light output.

If you want a smoke tail light or headlight tint talk to forum member BlueBatMobile. He's been doing it for years and uses the best materials and sells them for a really good price. Here's some examples of the gtr cutout tints with the cutouts for the actual lights.

Tinting is something I struggle with I love the look of 20% however 35% is the legal limit in my state. So I've been totally holding off until I figure out if I want to break the law
