Yea I'm out

Ok guys I know some of you have been following my nightmares with my sedan and some even remember my issues with coupe, So after still chasing KR issue on the car and having all kinds of issue with P0420/P0430 after the header install, that had never seen in 2 years on my tune and HFC's. I replaced the HFC's( Ones I took out were good as the light has come back) Replaced all the 02 sensors, done all kinds on other crap the DAMN light came back on this morning on the way to work. I'm going to look at a S4 and a 335XI tomorrow and if I don't trade the car in I'm going to take the headers and HFC's off sell them. I have a apt for the 14th to remove the headers and HFC's and Z1 motor mounts. I have a set of Z1 HFC's that came off two weeks ago that I can sell now if anyone is looking. $200 shipped just take them away. As I get time and looking for another car I will be taking the intakes off and putting the stock intake set up back on but I will let everyone know when that time comes.

Sorry about the troubles, but if it helps I understand how you feel to some degree. Why not the S6? I really like that car. It's a little more of everything except power. My wife went with the Lexus though.

Personally I'm still waiting to find the perfect slightly used RS5 to throw money at.

The S6 has been around for 4 models... maybe BB is recommending a used car.

ANMVQ, you've had countless frustrations modifying a G37, so how exactly is that going to play out if you start modifying a BMW? I genuinely wish you well, but if I were to take bets on your automotive happiness, I'd need some strong odds.

I'd stay away from BMW. Aftermarket parts are super expensive and reliability is poor. I looked into 335Xi before I bought the G. Stock vs Stock the 335Xi is faster and handles better. Interior I like the G more, exterior I liked the G a little more. The Audi is a better car IMO than the 335xi. I have a buddy at work that has a beautifully modified 2012 S4 and it's reliable, sounds awesome, interior is awesome, exterior is just as nice as the G IMO. It comes supercharged from the factory and tuning isn't that expensive. Mods aren't that bad either, about the same as the G price wise. I hope you find a nice S4 and buy it.

Why don't you take it to a performance shop and have them assist you work out your issues? Did you and/or a friend work on your car or was the work all done professionally?

Hi guys thank for the advice and kind word ^^ above! So start family life right now won't allow me to get the 3.0SC S4 it would have to be a B6 2004-06 with some miles, not sure j want that also all tho Seb talked to me about it and the said the S4 4.2 V8 is a pretty good motor , I wouldn't be going crazy mod wise like I did with the G. The one I'm looking at has intake and catback already, 6spd, and two tone, blk leather and grey suede interior but over 100k . I've read good and bad at that mileage, but will be sure to take it too an Audi dealer for full once over. I think I'll stay towards a S4 as the turbo issues with the 335 can be a nightmare

If you're going Euro, Audi or Bmw, I say leave it stock because modding will cause issues. I loved the B7 A4 I owned but modding did cause some issues for me. It was fine when when I just got the APR tune, but when I went +1 thats when things started arising. I had a specialized VW Audi shop go through and correct all my issues. Got new injectors, DV, turbo back, tune then it was pretty reliable. That was about a $4k bill I think. Don't recall exactly because its been about a decade.
