strange... I'm working with Sebastian now, and not experiencing any issues with knock. My map 2 tune is pretty aggressive.

Is your car awd? I am one of the other AWD cars being tuned by Seb via EcuTek and experiencing issues with knock. I am currently running a beta map from EcuTek that Seb said did not change anything.

So after logging the beta:

"Looking better on the beta? Do you know what was changed?"

"Not at all. Still the same thing. They are trying to implement the factory timing system."

I'm AWD. I'll keep an ear out for any knock, but we're nearly finished and there has been no issues so far. Are you running any other performance mods in addition to a CAI and CBE?

Fully,bolted, stock plenums, ,

An "ear out for KR" you can't hear it LOL, have you personal looked at your logs and seen "0" for KR and ignition correction? Cuase SEb told me the other "AWD" cars are doing the same thing as mine :/

"ear out for knock" = mistake on my end. I was thinking engine knocking instead of knock retard.

We'd communicated this morning, and he says that my car and one other AWD is behaving as expected. All others were driving he and EcuTek crazy trying to figure out what's causing it. I'm now finished with tuning!
My logging didn't include KR, but Ignition Correction is 0.

From: Framingham Ma,
Yea well that's good new man glad yours is not showing any ignition correction. But wth with ours. I havnt been able to use his tune In months not saying the other tune is bad but sebs throttle feels a bit better, I just want to be able to run on it. I'm going the track soon and would LOVE to compare the tunes at the track

Thanks!
I hope they find a solution soon, as this will have a negative effect on future potential AWD G owners who're considering an EcuTek tune.

I still have Visconti Ecutek tune on my 2015 Q40 AWD map 4 with no problem.
Is it really a night and day difference if I go with Seb and retune?

BTW, I did test drive a 2016 Mustang GT with 3.73 gear ratio. Not really impressed in city driving. The power picks up at 4K RPM + which I find a annoying in city driving. It is great beyond 60MPH.

I find the 2015 WRX (none STI) a lot more fun to drive in the city, while you stay at 1.5-4.5K on routine city driving. The torque is amazing , pushed me back to my seat, but tapers off at past 5k RPM. I prefer the WRX than the V8 mustang GT if majority of the time, I am driving under 60 MPH. I think this is a great DD and start at 26K only.

Before I purchased my G37, I took at WRX for a test drive. I agree on the low end torque, but the $2 interior and crappy cable shifter killed the deal.

Yes and no, John worked with me on the Throttle hi jack so I have it( Some what) it's better than before but Seb's is still better. The overall tune for me at least Johns is better because for some reason John's doesnt pull timing like crazy. I only see 1 KR from 3-4k , Sebs tunes pulls up to 6-7KR from 3k all the way to redline( when I shift) and the power pull is noticable. So I would wait to switch to Seb's tune until he figures out why the AWD cars have KR issues . I'm not driving on his tune I've been on Johns for like 7-8 weeks now.
