Vinyl wrap question

Newbie here - I've read a lot of threads about wrapping the wood grain dash and they all seem to recommend removing the dash pieces, cutting the wrap from 3M sheets, applying and re-attaching the pieces. I've searched and found no discussion about the pre-cut vinyl from Rvinyl. Infiniti G37 Sedan 2010-2013 Dash Kits | DIY Dash Trim Kit
Any experience, hearsay, etc. about the product, installation, results? Thanks.

I too would wonder for the validity of a product like this. There might be a reason it isn't popular/done before. Could always Google some reviews!

Thanks. The only reviews I could find were from the vendor's website.

You should be the guinea pig, the price is fair and they offer a 25% off coupon if you submit your e-mail for their newsletter.

I have a coupe but I plan on vinyl wrapping my interior in the next 2 or 3 weeks and I'm most likely going to remove all the dash pieces to do it. It's the best way to get the best result, once I do I will make sure to take pictures and install a DIY thread hopefully for anyone who may be interested because as you said I'm pretty sure there isn't one listed.

What color/pattern are you going to do? I was thinking a black carbon fiber like print for mine but I don't want it to look tacky. Might just do gloss black.

I thought about carbon fiber but I don't think I can stand looking at it every single day like you said it is a bit tacky for my taste. I was thinking more like an aluminum black something like that gloss might pop out too much. Check out the two links I just posted one of them has that aluminum black that I'm talking about and I actually kind of like it its sleek and classy at the same time can't really put my finger on it.

That thread was posted by blnewt... he's a part of the moderator staff on the forum and is extremely knowledgeable with many G coupe/sedan related things. Wouldn't be surprised if he finds this thread and puts in some good advice lol

Not much to add, but agree about that black/graphite machined vinyl really looks nice. I may do my trim over again in that exact color/texture. My brushed steel still looks fine but not much of a difference from the Washi, that graphite is much more dramatic, and in a good way
Looking back it's funny that the hardest part of the whole wrap for me was that smallest piece to the left of the steering wheel. It seems like it's just going to crack in two trying to remove it, and my first attempt looked like as$ since that very outside edge shows when you open the door. Took a bit more force to get a good wrap around that whole dinky part, lol.

How did you end up finally getting that piece off? Any suggestions for that?

IIRC I just used the smallest plastic trim removal tool from that group in my thread above and pried it off . It just put up more of a fight than I think it should

That is the one thing to be aware of w/ those interior trim pieces, they all seem like they're one extra tug away from cracking the pawls and snap clips but they all seem to be up to the task. I was very paranoid throughout though TBH.

Yeah, one of the last things i want to do is have to replace a trim piece w/ the limited money the wife lets me use for car mods lol.
