Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Hey guys! how's it going? I recently made my account for this website because I just bought my first car which is a; 2009 Infiniti G37x. After the first few days of driving it, i fell in love with it, however i started to experience some problems. Firstly, I purchased a 3.5mm Aux to RCA cable to use for music. After using it for only 1 day, my navi screen started to randomly restart! Ever since this has happened, everytime i turn on my car, the screen goes into a loop of rebooting constantly showing the Infiniti logo. I have no clue what the problem is, and it has been less than a week since i got the car. Please let me know if this has happened to anyone else! Cheers

Bring it back to the dealer ASAP, It happened to me but I had the warranty and it was done free, if you do not have the warranty it will cost you almost and over $10 000 for a new one, no lie I saw the bill.

I suggest you bring the car to another dealer/garage for a second opinion too and have it check under the car to be safe, check your power steering rack, cuz mine is leaking.

Seeing as how he just bought an '09 recently, I wouldn't imagine there'd be any remaining warranty to extend.

unfortunately, I don't have an extended warranty! WTF 10,000 for a repair! thats almost another car! Are you sure there's absolutely no other options I have? I'm gonna take it to the dealership and a few other garages to get some input on the situation. Thank you to everyone that replied.

Disconnect the negative terminal for 10 min and step on the brake pedal for 2 min while terminal is off.

As m3clubracer said, disconnect the battery. If 10 min doesn't work, keep it disconnected over night. Sometimes electronics need to be reset. My 2014 Q60 nav, radio, ac, and the whole front display just became extremely slow all of a sudden, did the ecu reset with the gas pedal which didn't solve the problem. Then left the batt disconnected over night, it's even faster responding than it was brand new. You may need to reprogram your radio channels and auto windows afterwards, see manual for reprogramming auto windows or search here.

There is a factory service manual on here for free. It is very valuable.

I swear to God that's what I saw on the bill after they replace mine and that exactly what I said too, its almost the cost of another car, I almost lost it on them.

You can always replace the navigation system, they're not to expensive used, relatively speaking and the work isn't difficult at all. Here's a link to a GPS bypass which is a cool thing too but instructions are in there on how to disassemble the center console. Infiniti G37 Navigation Bypass Hack / Mod with pictures
But definitely try the battery reset first, always go the easiest/least expensive route first, sometimes it works, gl

If you remove the cable does the problem disappear?
