Mike found new exhaust tips, and quads it is!
I certainly like the sound of that. BTW I just spoke to the owner of the shop I have previously mentioned in the beginning of this thread, AMS Autowerks, which Adrian also has found to be quite highly recommended in my area amongst other car forums after a quick search and he said it won't be a problem and that I got nothing to worry about, so once I receive the tips whether it'll be Friday or Saturday, he'll do it for me when I walk in, worst case Monday if I get them late because of the holiday
The thing about modding cars, particularly a daily driver, is that it's all about the compromise. We all do it. Very few things are 100%.
But with this one, I think you should fix that tip alignment issue. I'm sure a shop with skills could do it. Unbolt things, bend some hangers, test fit over and over. You should do it. Seriously.

I still may have it fixed, since the shop did offer to fix it for free, but I think it will take removing that tip from the muffler completely and having it re-welded to have it done correctly... I just know what it took them to get them nice and centered and tack welded in place the first time and not sure I'm gonna end up with a much better result doing it again unless I were to weld it myself. Although I may try your idea of trying to bend the muffler hangers a bit to see if I can get the muffler to twist just a bit and try aligning the tip that way... that just may work! Thanks!!
Honestly it bothered me a lot more when I first got it done, but there are several other small little issue on the car that bother me way more (which I'm not going to point out to anyone else ;-), so I've actually stopped loosing sleep over the tips. LOL... Plus I'm considering changing up my exhaust set-up again in the near future so that would mean redoing the quad tips anyway.

BTW, I think I'd paint those exhaust cans black, but that's just how I roll, lol.
Hey, I've got my own list of compromises. I'm not proud.

That's what his car looks like now, I think it's one of the recent photos at least on HRE wheels

Yay guess what, in about 15-20 mins I'll have the package with the exhaust tips, impatiently waiting for the mail lady to come back to the little truck few blocks away from my house
Walk us through the process, from delivery, to the unboxing, to the inevitable fondling.
This should be fun.
Too late, I grabbed the box and headed to the shop, only snapped one picture of one of the tips and a "before" picture and dropped the car off

Here's a few pictures of the cars they own/work on on daily basis certainly the ones that caught my attention the most

That gorgeous E30 M3 replica was a customer's car ,it was just beautiful, pictures speak for themselves, while the Yellow 911 GT2 in the far right corner in one of the pictures belongs to the owner of the shop, while his wife drives a bagged Cayenne Turbo on some sick wheels as well as ONLY a $4K front bumper

The owner of the shop who did the work and has far more knowledge than most of us here said that SS expands which is true and that SS exhaust expands up to 2 inches given how long the whole catback is.
Now, given what he said, which I couldn't really believe because I've never observed that on my MXP before, he welded the tips pretty nice and neat but maybe a little too flush.
So what I'm trying to figure out is, is it actually true that the SS exhaust expands that much up to 2 inches? I mean, has anyone ever noticed that?
Maybe it will grow on me, or maybe I'll have to go back on Monday and just have them redo it to pull the tips out a bit more..

Don't mind the car being dirty... I literally washed her on Thursday and now she's all dirty again, freakin rain...
That's the only picture I have for now...

IMO, it looks much better than the oval tips. Wouldn't you agree?
It also looks too flush with the diffuser, but it's difficult to tell from a straight-on picture. And it also looks like the diffuser is resting on the tips, or pretty close, which doesn't seem right. I thought you were having the CF modified? Seems to me, it would look right if the cut-outs were more rectangular with rounded upper corners.
Now that they're on the car and have decided they're keepers, you can take your time finding another shop who would maybe be more attentive to the details of this project.
The mechanic actually told you your catback would magically stretch 2 inches, huh? I'm no ME, but... WTF, man? Are you sure you heard him right, and instead maybe he said two millimeters?
