Fluids and more.
Hey everyone!
I have a 2012 g37x sedan with about 48 thousand miles and just got my oil changed before the snow falls today from the Infiniti dealership. They found that both valve cover gaskets need to be replaced due to leaking which is covered under warranty so thats fine.
They also said, based on my mileage, that I need an automatic transmission fluid flush for which they quoted me $496.32 Canadian dollars, a break system flush for which they quoted me $187.07, a cooling system flush for which they quoted $273.58, and last but not least, an all wheel drive service which says change front differential, rear differential, and transfer case fluids for which they quoted $499.25.
My questions for you all are: Do I really need to be worrying about these things right now, especially since they only recommended these things based on my mileage? Should I get another mechanic to go in and look for a second opinion? If you guys think I should get on these as soon as possible, is it fine to get a cheaper mechanic to do all of these things for me?
Thanks again everyone!

That's what I was thinking as well, just going to run a Google search for the best shops in my city and get some estimates for these things.
Oh, and welcome to the site
Don't try to stretch the maintenance interval on the transmission if you plan to keep the car a long time. I am assuming it is a 30k interval on your trans like most Nissans unless it is a CVT(which it is not). In our shop we only see problems with transmissions over 100k if we ask them how often they changed the fluid and they say something like, "You have to change the fluid in the transmission?" This is pretty easy to do yourself as well if you are handy and want to save some $$$.
