Warranty Question

Hello all,

Just have a real quick question about the warranty on our G's.

For some background, I bought my G about a year and a half ago, pre-owned certified. 21,000 miles.

When I bought it, the interior was dirty to begin with, made a deal with my sales rep, and re replaced the floor mats.

Anyways, I noticed the drivers seat was a little "wore". I figured that it wouldn't get any worse if I took care of it. BUT, it got worse. My seat looks like garbage. See the pictures.

Now, would Infiniti replace or fix something like this?

Also, my center consoles chrome is peeling up. I take care of my care and dont know why the materials on the inside are wearing so bad.

Thanks!

Looks pretty typical to me, Infiniti leather is about the thinnest in the industry. The side bolsters look like they want to start cracking, our previous 07 G35 looked similar w/ the same light gray interior. Ours never cracked (our friend has that one now and still isn't cracking), but wouldn't hurt to ask the dealer what they could do.

I just had the seat bottom replaced a couple of weeks ago under warranty. They will replace the entire seat cover for the bottom cushion, including the padding. Just be polite and if they say no, mention that you know others have had them replaced under warranty. My service rep at first said no but I convinced them to do it. Afterwards I was talking to the tech who did the repair and he said he's done hundreds...

Like speedballdevil said talk to dealer and be very polite. I was able to get my upper seat cover replaced under warranty. The leather on the side bolster was beginning to crack and appear worn. They mentioned that according to Infiniti things like this is not normally covered under warranty. The manager of the dealer made a phone call to Infiniti headquarters on my behalf to advocate for me. The $2000 cover was then replaced for free.

The service rep will also get commission on warranty work as well, so they are on your side.
