Good to hear it was software update.
Also it could be transmission memory or whatever it's called. If you drive your car like a grandpa tranny will learn that driving style and car will feel slow compared to q50 loaner which probably means most people drive it like crazy.

The dealership updated my ECM and TCM and so far it now feels like the Q50 felt. So far, much improved. I asked my dealership if they just reset it or was it an actual software update, he stated it was an actual software update.

Question, was there a charge for the ECM/TCM updates? Did you purchase your car from that dealer or will any infiniti dealer perform the updates?

It was free for me. Might be because I am still under warranty, but I am not sure
