Should I give my daughter my modded G?
I’m going to say don’t do it for another reason besides power.
Perception. When she starts to interview for a job, pulling up in an Infiniti sends a message. Yes, WE all know that they are rebadged JDM Nissans, but most people don’t. I remember in the 90’s, I was just starting out in the “real world” and I bought a G20T. It was mentioned a few times at a couple of different interviews. I tried to downplay it and say things like “it’s just a Nissan” or “It’s more like a Sentra with Leather” but it never seemed to matter. Some people get an impression of you from certain cars.
The other thing is it’s an expensive car to operate. Premium Gas and lower MPG’s can be a drain on a person just starting out.
IMHO you’re better off selling that G to someone on here, and just buy something else. Maybe a Mazda 6 or Accord Sport. Good Gas mileage, cheaper to insure and are more plebian. Just my 2 cents.

In my opinion G37 is just a regular car and I highly doubt people will care if she drives g37 or Honda Accord.
The general public will disagree. Honda is in the same league as Toyota and Nissan, not Lexus, Infiniti and Acura. Marketing is a powerful thing. What are the G's main competitors? Lexus IS, BMW 3 and MB C. All of which are "Luxury" brands.
From a car person, I completely agree with you.

If interviewer is judging
someone by the car potential employee is driving I think he or she should go back to school or shouldn't be interviewing people. I know you are just talking about perception but in my book G37 doesn't have WOW factor and general public will see it as a nice car nothing more nothing less.
Judging from my own experience, where I went halfsies on my 2007 G with my parents after my freshman year, I would not do it. Honestly, 300+hp is overkill for any teenager. I was 19 when I first got my car in 2013 and I can say I was spoiled by it. Of course I love it but looking forward I would get my future daughter/son a car with ~220hp maximum. And I'm just talking about a stock G here, not a 400hp+ beast.
I don't live in a world where I would give my children a car, regardless of financial wherewithal. However, I understand that some people think that if they have the means, then there's nothing wrong in giving their kids something that they couldn't earn on their own. That's not a value that I share, but I understand how it can be rationalized.
However, there's no way I would give my child a modified 400hp+ car, regardless of how responsible she is. No way.
Don't do it, man. You already gave her a new and presumably safe car. Be a parent, not a free ride.

Um, parenting is by it's very nature a free ride. Agree on not giving her a 400 hp monster. Providing transportation into success is being a parent though. I gave my son the 350Z on my page. He drove it from 17 to 23 without incident. I gave him the title, he totaled it 2 months later. It caught on fiyah. He was okay so I got him an Acura RSX.
My daughter is a college freshman. Very smart, mature, and driven. Not distracted too much by boys. I bought her a new Hyundai Accent for earning an academic scholarship. Just to me sure of driving habits, I had a GPS tracker on her car for the first year and she never sped. Was always where she said she was. Now that I'm looking at a new car, she wants my 2010 G37x. It's in great condition. Problem is, it has a Stillen blower kit. She said she will drive safely. What do you guys think?

That being said, I'm going to say no on this one. Just because it doesn't feel right.
one question i have is: what's wrong with the current Hyundai Accent she already has? as long as it is serving her well enough for her needs as a student, and it has proven to be a reliable and low-maintenance vehicle (i.e. low ownership cost), then why make a change? perhaps there is a problem that hasn't been mentioned which would provide the logic for making a change.
if not, stick with what's working, especially through the college years where she doesn't want to waste her limited bank balance on maintenance and fuel of a 5+ year old blown G37X. to be honest, a hyundai accent sounds like an ideal student vehicle (if they actually need a vehicle).
maybe i'm being too practical for the OP, but i drove a 15 year old 1990 honda civic DX sedan through Engineering school. cost me almost nothing to maintain, and the fuel bill was cheap too. and i was one of the few classmates (maybe 20-25%) who actually had a car so i felt pretty flush to even have wheels - bought with my own capital, of course. heck, it wasn't until 2 years after graduating that i saved up enough cash to buy my first real car - a used '04 G35 6MT sedan. to be fair, i did upgrade to a '94 Mazda MX6 in between the Civic and G35, but still, baby steps...
the OP asked for our opinion, so there's my 0.02.

Not for adult children, it isn't. Establishing a sense of birthright entitlement does more harm than good.
It seems the OP is going to do what he was going to do all along, regardless the asking of total strangers for off-the-cuff opinions without any personal context. So if that's the case, the kid gets the car anyway, and the responsible move would be to disable or remove the supercharger.

What she didn't like about it was the attention it drew. People would constantly pull up next to her and she didn't like parking it at the crowded campus parking lot. She eventually quit driving it, but it was on her own terms.
Perhaps let your daughter try it out for a bit and see how she does with it?
yeah, I would be the coolest dad ever! I think the way to go would be to have the thing removed and give her the car and sell the kit. Cut my losses some on that car. Ordering my new car tomorrow! I'll post what happens after I visit the dealer.
