I would have killed myself in that car at that age.

That being said, if you trust her, i would do it with the caveat that she goes to a proper racing school to know how to handle such a beast.

I would want to put my daughter in the safest automobile ever created by a human being. 5 star safety across the board. She would have a nicer/better car than me if it meant i was the one who had to drive the junker every day.

Not saying that's not what's on your mind or at the top of your list, just saying. Think safety first dad.

The AWD is a big +....
The Stillen SC, not so much.

Weigh the cons,
weigh the pros.

If you think this is the best thing for your daughter than do it. If you have any doubts, don't. This is a 'family' decision. Do what's truly best for her....

Don't give your daughter that vehicle. Sell it!

A college freshman does not need a vehicle like that.

Just my $.02

From: Framingham Ma,
If it was me I wouldn't give her the car also. IF is was a stock G37X maybe, but not FI the car is completely different and would be able to sideways VERY easy, Stock you can spin this thing sideways( Done it). Just because she didn't speed in 110HP Accent doesn't mean she wont push a 500HP G :/. One time is all it takes, We all have been there in the " One time" spot and wasnt a good thing. With a child you wouldn't want to contribute to that "One Time" your giving her a car with 5 times more HP. Just my .02

Like all dads, I love her and want to spoil her, but I also know it can make her lazy. I told her years ago that if she earned an academic scholarship I would take part of the money I saved (yes, I would have paid for her college at a state school) and buy her a new little car. That's the 2014 Accent. I was poor as a child and didn't like it at all. It motivated me to work hard and do well. I have real hesitations giving her this only because of the blower. As I kid, I would have killed myself with a car like this--this is for sure. The little Hyundai will probably go to her younger sister. I would seriously consider a trade for a nicer G37x without the blower. That was a mistake to put it on, but it is pretty fun! It is certainly quicker than the current Mustang/Camaro V8s. I drove both this month with wifey, and she agreed. Maybe when I get the new car somebody here will want to swap G's.

Sounds like you've raised a responsible young woman. I would be apt to question why she would want such a powerful vehicle, but you would know your daughter better than the rest of us. You can always have that GPS tracker put on the G to know for certain.

Thats not that bad. I had a 4 year old modded GTI when I was in college and then bought my G37s coupe at 21.

As long as she's responsible it won't end poorly.

Just don't regret it man. If you give it to her then make sure she knows how the car feels/handles under power and not under power. I doubt she knows much about cars especially high hp ones to be safe in it by herself. She needs to know how the car will react and know how to predict what it will do. These things are even more important if she will be driving in snow/ice. The awd will not save her with that much power. In my opinion I wouldn't give it to her, but its ultimately your call.

single father of three here... my vote is no..
so many variables out of her control regardless of her responsible nature..
trust me.. you don't want to regret this decision in the future.. as the saying goes.. better to be safe than sorry...

I'd say yes. My old g was in a bad accident and the car protected everyone inside. My 7 yr Old niece had her head slam into the curtain airbag and walked away without a scratch.
Take off the blower belt. It's what I do when I take my ford lightning in for service.

That car is a best!! I don't have any kids but I wouldn't give it to her. 500hp is scary fast for a new driver.
You should sell it and get used Lexus IS250 for her. She would love it.

Why not take the S/C off and sell it? Give her the car that way and pocket a couple grand
