I just got my G this year at the beginning of January. I have about 3,000 miles on it and and i'v had it for about 6 months. When should i take it to Infiniti to get serviced? Also if its a lease and i added a strut bar would there be any problem when i take it to Infiniti to get serviced?

 

i always use the time elapsed as my gauge for maintenance since i don't put much mileage on my vehicles. 6 months is as long as i let oil/filter changes go, and that's usually at ~4-4500kms (2500-2800mi). moisture and thermal changes will degrade oils over time.

and you don't have to take to a dealer for service, just so you know. there are many equivalent or better options out there. to each his own on that front...endless discussion on the forums, just thought you should know you have options in case the dealer had tried to brainwash you.

i wouldn't worry about a FSTB - that's a lightweight mod. only if it caused or contributed to a warranty-able failure would you have an issue. most dealers are pretty good and only pick a fight if they need to.
