door panel metallic trim

The metallic trim piece on the driver door (the piece that has the memory seat buttons in it), came farily beat up by the previous owner, maybe from the seatbelt?? Does anybody know if this single piece can be replaced, or would I end up having to change the whole door panel, in which case I just live with it and stop looking at it.

Thanks

What about wrapping it in brushed aluminum vinyl? Might be able to find a good match and save a few buck. It possibly could be more durable too. Just a thought.

Thanks for the info. So it looks pretty straight forward. How hard was it really? How much time did it take to get all the pieces out? I might be getting one with wood and I'm thinking about switching it out. I have to see which I end up with but wanted to know before I opt'd to go with the wood and it was a real pain to switch out.

The plate around the stereo is a bit time consuming and that short little piece to the left of the steering wheel was a bugger for me, not bad overall though.
Be sure to get one of those trim removal kits though, about $7 at harbor freight.

I suppose that wrapping is an option, but I like the idea of just replacing the one piece rather than having to wrap all the pieces to get them to match, and avoid the fear of breaking or damaging any of the pieces.

I'm still hoping that somebody chimes in, maybe even with a pic of the backside of the door panel, showing that the piece can be easily removed and replaced.

Click on my post above, then in that thread there's links for removal of the trim pieces.

Oops, I missed the link inside the link. That helps a lot.
Thanks
