eBay Sport Lip for the low???

Hey guys,

I just saw this "OEstyle" sport lip on eBay for $159 shipped which is super cheap. Any one out there pick one of these up yet? Just wondering on the quality and fit on these before I pull the trigger.

I don't think its a killer deal like you said while you can get the OEM lip for 300. The Ebay lip needs a paint job mind you.

I don't think I've seen the oem lip for that low of a price and definitely not with shipping included. This is perfect for me cuz I have to get my front bumper resprayed after this terrible New England weather anyways so I can get the lip painted at the same time and not have to worry about color mismatches. I'm just curious about the fit...

There are many Infiniti dealerships across the country participating in some kind of sale out for parts and accessories for that price. The Ebay one could be a option that is more suitable for your situation< however, I don't true the quality and fitment of Ebay body kit after many foolish purchases.

Call Willow Grove Infiniti and see what their price is for an OEM sport lip w/free shipping and already painted.

Golden opportunity to get the lip molded to the bumper, too. To me, the lip looks A LOT better without those pronounced "seams" it leaves when simply added onto the bumper

I know Sales and Parts are different departments, but STAY AWAY from Willow Grove. Those guys are simply awful! They agreed to sell me a car for a specific price, then I sold my car (at the time) privately the next day, and I called them on my way to buy the car and they had the nerve to tell me they wouldn't honor the price but can sell it to me for 1000s more. Horrendous ethics and operations at that place, avoid at all costs!!

I can vouch for the eBay lip as well. In Canada the Stealerships want $550 CAD for the lip so I got one off eBay just like that one possibly same supplier had it painted and installed for $100 and it looks great. Fitment was good and really gives the car a nice aggressive look.

Cheers.

Got my oem lip $279 shipped to my door.

I'm in the US.

Oem lip painted moonlight white. Several dealerships have a online parts website with a 25% off code usually ESTORE2016 or something to that nature.

I used that discount to get it cheap.

I've had my eBay sport lip on for a little over a year now and never again. I had my bumper and lip painted at the same time when I did my 2010+ conversion and the lip has chips everywhere while the bumper is flawless. The bumper bought from an infiniti dealer. The material used to make the lip is very chea. I regret 100% going with the eBay lip. I also had the chance to compare fitment between this and an OEM one and there's a definitely a difference. The gaps are a little off. The eBay also does not come with a rubber seam. It is really really not worth it. OEM is OEM. I'll take a few pics later To show what I'm talking about. One good thing is looking from farther away, it looks OK. Up close is a different story

EDIT:
Here are the pics, if I only had the lip painted I'd say it was a really bad paint job but this was done by a friend at a dealership where their standards are high. Also the bumper was painted at the same time using the same paint, prep and materials and the bumper doesn't have a flaw in it. And you can see the fitment up close. As far as I'm concerned, you really do get what you pay for. Maybe a member can take close up shots of their oem lip's fitment, either way, I'd say spend the extra money and go oem, even used, you'll save yourself a headache later on, I wish I had.

I tried adding tape but that didn't help much. The fitment isn't horrible but that isn't the main issue, the main reason is the quality of the materials used to make the lip, or rather lack thereof. Subpar materials will cause the paint to chip and flake off after time so any money you saved will go right back into having to repaint it every year or so. In the long run, it's a waste of money and oem fitment is much much better. Learn from my mistake

I believe the paint flaking n chipping has more to do how the lip was prepped not the quality of the material
