Nice job Furlow, really looks like you put a lot of thought in your setup (much like Rochesters train of thought). that drop looks about perfect and nice job on the window trim, grill, wheel/tire choice. So yep, big thumb pointing to the sky!
Now you just need to get those calipers painted so Rochester can follow your lead

I've honestly never been into upgraded brakes, but painting the calipers might be a nice touch. I'll have to do some research (duh lol) and see what would look good. I suppose with the whole black/white thing I have going on, a little touch of color wouldn't hurt. Blue or red would probably look pretty good...

I bet your car feels great now with those lightweight wheels.

Oh, and before someone else says it, time for a drop.

I have no idea. I like the height on the back and really don't want to drop it. On the front, well it looks a bit high.

I know most springs drop the front more, but I'm worried about scraping my exhaust and having to drive even more cautiously really sucks.

The Eibach Pro Plus kit seems like a good choice and price for sways and springs. I'm just looking for the least possible drop.

Engine Bay Clean Up

VWS radiator cap and VMS bolts kit installed. Oil dip stick cleaned and strayed with high temp semi-gloss black. I also took the 4 larger bolts on the radiator cover out then cleaned and sprayed with the same semi-gloss black. K&N intakes were previously installed (1st mod)

There's some coupe guys that just dropped the front only w/ Tanabe front springs (I guess you can use the rear springs for paperweights )
Here's a couple threads
https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...the-front.html
This one has just front Tanabes and stock rear springs
https://www.myg37.com/forums/picture...ing-shots.html
Or you could use the rear springs and raise it up a bit if you want to

Take your time, network local shops, weigh your options. There are a number of different approaches to painting the Akebono BBK, with costs that vary by a factor of 3x or so. Paint vs. powdercoat; on-the-car vs. off the car; sending them off to a specialist (JP); etc.

I was hot to have the calipers painted this year, then put the project on the shelf for when the day comes that the rotors gets replaced... so still a few years out. I'm thinking light bronze, or a soft metallic yellow. Go look at Tony's show car; also a MW Sedan. He has Acura's Rio Pearl Yellow on the calipers. It's very pretty.

And lastly on that topic, the finish on your new Vossen's looks really good with the OEM metallic silver on the Akebono calipers, exactly as it is right now. So while painting them might be nicer, what you have right now is pretty darn good.

Excellent work. Detailed and clean, without being obnoxious. I really like how you went with gloss black on bolts. Have you considered having those intake mid-pipes powdercoated in gloss black? I bet that would be gorgeous. And maybe a FSTB, either gloss or matte black. Also an interesting and unique idea (in black). Or better yet... Gunmetal.

Man, I would love to have the same black-nickel finish that's on my intake mid-pipes also on my FSTB. It's a $200 prospect, however, sending the bar out for two-stage nickle-plating. Stupidly expensive, although I still want to do it. Errr.

Here's your picture again, for context about those ideas:

Yes I removed my Sport seat. Not exactly sure if they are the same as the G37 Sport sedan. I would assume so, I know they are different than a G37 Journey for sure.

I thought it was a crazy thought that I was having. In that case, then I'm feeling better about the idea of a drop.

Time to read all those threads

Washed my G, but more importantly cleaned the salt off of my exhaust. I don't care that it is suppose to rain tomorrow, I was more worried about getting the salt off my G.

Thanks Rochester. Just takes a little patients and attention to detail. I will be installing a brace at the same time I order and install my sway bars. I'm sure I will be paying attention the color of the brace. Worse case I should be able to mix a color that I can use on the brace and perhaps the pipes as well.
