High idle after test pipe install

Hey guys whats goin on. Thought i fixed the problem but it came back.

So i installed some megan resonated test pipes last week. After a couple days my idle was stuck at 1k rpm. I did the idle relearn pedal relearn and throttle relearn. Nothing. I then unplugged the battery overnight. Came back the next morning and it was back to normal. CEL obviously for test pipes but after a couple days the high idle came back. Is this normal for my car with no tune? I do smell the ecu dumping alot if fuel and get alot of popping. Please help me out. Im not ready for a tune yet. Still waiting for a CBE and intake.

I would get defoulers to try to eliminate the CEL. I'm guessing your O2 sensors are sending funky signals to your ECU.

Which test pipes did you buy? Fast Intentions welds in a J-bung to pull the O2 sensor out of the direct flow of the exhaust stream, which causes CEL's because the aftermarket test pipes and/or HFC's flow a lot higher than stock.

I have Megan test pipes. It has a "fix" welded on it already but guess it didnt work. Its already 1.5in away from exhaust streams. Guess ill try the ghetto defouler mod.

Has anyone else had an issue

I had the same issue after a set of Berk Testpipes. I took the car to infiniti for an oil change and they reset the cel at the same time. Hasn't come on since.

Clean your throttle bpdies and do a throttle relearn that might help since there's nothing else you can do. There is a DIY somewhere in here. DISCONNECT the battery before doing it. Get an OBD-2 scanner that connects to your computer so you can check your AFR they are like $20 on ebay and it reads everything.
