It doesn't do any good to rant and rave about scratches and dents caused by inconsiderate people, because it won't stop. No matter how far away you park, some idiot will park next to you. People seem to want company and will park next to you wherever you park your car. I was parked in a public garage against a wall and someone parked so close to me that I couldn't open the other door. I had to leave my car and take a taxi.
If you keep repairing the scratches and dents, you will drive yourself crazy. After several dents, you just forget about it and stop examining the car. When it gets really bad, you trade in the car and get a new one.
