Oh, totally fine. You get used to them pretty quick. After a while non-sport seats just feel wrong.

The R2C is a good design, and the black nickel finish is beautiful, if you opt for that added expense and are into engine bling. I've got a fairly extensive "lessons learned" thread on that intake if you search for it. I'd link, but iPad is a PITA.

However, in the next few years, I'll upgrade to a long tube design, like the gen3. That'll happen before getting tuned.

Now that you've been using the R2C, would you suggest the Gen3 over it or can you ultimately not go wrong either way? I may be wrong but I read that the Gen3 will give you better gains at higher RPMs and R2C better gains at mid RPMs, is that true? If so, I don't need the Gen3, I'm not racing around town. I would be if I had the 6MT but not with the 7AT. Sure here and there I have some fun and let loose but most of the time I am not doing that.

Also, whats your take on the hydrolocking factor of the Gen3?

I've not read any comments here ever about the Gen3 hydro locking. PITA to install and maintain, and twice the cost. But the long tube intakes actually perform better, so...

Sport seats are fantastic, but then again I am slim and think the side bolsters could even come in a bit more than they do. I drove my car back from Chicago and was totally comfortable the whole time. I think the BBK should have come on the xS, simply because I have brake judder and I feel like with the added weight of the awd system the xS would benefit from stronger brakes, plus they just look awesome!

That's the only reason why I'd get the BBK, how they look which is IMO worth the money. The stronger breaks would definitely do the x very well I believe. I see that you have the 2010 G37xS sedan Blue Slate... thats the color I wanted so bad, it looks awesome. I had to settle for the LP which isn't too shabby itself, can't complain. A G is a G

Congrats on your G! I actually had to go to Chicago to get my car cause there were no BS xS's anywhere near me. I see a lot of journeys. Although every time I see Malbec Black I wish I had known the LE model had existed for 2011. As you said though a G is a G and I love my cars color.

I have the x and had the same questions. Want to find someone who has 19's or the 35xs 18's to upgrade the look. Suspension need the stiffer sways and if you can lower it bc of the x tranny that's a big difference. X sits like 1/2-1 inch above the non-x.

The 35xs 18s?

I'm not sure what's left on mine to do other than the front bumper, side skirts and the seats. Since it was mostly an appearance package most of it was fairly easy. The sways etc would have gotten done regardless so i suppose it's sort of a wash. Kinda...

It was funny, I drove my '09 xS for 4 years and had no idea of the height difference until I brought home my 6MT and put the cars side by side in the driveway. The height difference on my two cars was close to 2" at the back wheels and about 1/2" at the front wheels. It gave the xS a bit more of an aggressive, raked forward look. I don't remember anything on the xS that would prevent you from lowering it.

Interestingly enough, the xS coupe has most of the sport goodies that they left off the xS Sedan, although the coupe is still tuned to understeer. I suppose Infiniti was copying BMW - if I remember right that's exactly what they did with the xdrive sport package '07-'10 335i.
