2013 G37 Sedan Battery Type

I'm wondering what type of battery my new 2013 G37 sedan (base) is installed by the manufacture, is it regular/standard one or AGM? Since I don't drive it much, I bought a battery charger (Schumacher XC10-CA) for it but need to select the battery type. I tried to look under the hood, contacted the dealer and did a lot search on the internet but haven't got the information. Could any one here tell me the information? I attached a photo which looks same to mine for your reference. Thank you.

If you still have the stock battery, you have a 'regular/standard' battery (liquid lead acid) - you do NOT have an AGM battery (Absorbed Glass Mat).

The dealer could not answer this?? Oh boy...

You can tell by just looking at your battery or your manual. It talks about adding distilled water to it when the level is low...that's a characteristic of a standard lead acid battery.

I don't think AGM batteries require to fill it with distilled water because they are permanently sealed.

Don't see your photo. I got the battery in my 2010 replaced under warranty - it was liquid and the replacement is service-free (not liquid). So the newer cars can concievably come with the service-free. The way to tell is to look for several twist-off fill plugs and/or a translucent fill-line/gauge to indicate a liquid serviceable battery.

Who exactly did you speak to at the dealer?

The parts department as well as the service manager should have been able to answer your question.
Sales department, not so much.

Thank you so much for your replies. I'm sorry that I couldn't upload the photo. Yes, the manual says adding distilled water if liquid level is low. I talked to the service department in west houston infiniti and a gentleman said he has never heard of agm. I also contacted to the infiniti USA but a guy replied that he couldn't find the information. I was lucky to find this forum. By the way, the battery does have six notches to unscrew to fill liquid I guess. The label on the battery has six warning signs. Hope this helps others have similar question in the future. Thank you again.

Wow that is surprising you could not get simple answers from the dealership or Infiniti USA. The cars always come with traditional lead/acid batteries. Does anyone know a vehicle manufacturer putting in an AGM battery OEM? I guess I could see some serious off-road vehicle needing one...

I saw BMW selling OEM AGM batteries, so I don't know.

I always learn something new everyday... I did some quick searching and yes indeed BMW does have OEM AGM batteries in their cars. Looks to be a German thing based on what I found below:

At present Premium class manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Porsche, VW, Mercedes use AGM batteries such as Banner Running Bull AGM. AGM batteries are mainly employed where the vehicle uses Brake — Energy Recuperation.
