Holy hell!! I'd say you should invest in a garage or covered parking area...that can't be good for your car...not to mention the fact that you can't leave. Makes me feel better about my situation. If I call the local ups center, will they be able to help me arrange pick up ok Saturday (given that it arrives then)?

Yes you can, call in the morning and tell them you want to pick up it do it early so they can get it out the truck before the driver is dispatched.

Eh, I'm a FedEx driver and with proper scanning they should be able to pinpoint your package location...I.e. at a Hub, Ramp, Station, or Delivery Rte. Due to the bad weather, we are running only an hr behind...our planes fly no matter...yes, some packages get sacrificed so that a majority make it on time.....priority next day vs. 3 day service.....I luv hearing this "I only use FedEx, when I really want it to get there"?????? GL!

We do provide pinpoint tracking but due to the bad weather it might say its schedule for delivery " on route" after being loaded up and then might not get serviced due to weather Like vexed said we might a sacrifice a package so others can be delivered ie Next days over ground. Sorry to hear that you are having a bad experience.

What do you mean by pinpoint tracking? Can they tell where the truck is when in route?

I think that only goes for when the package is in a facility, don't think any company gives public GPS tracking to their trucks. Sometimes you just have to wait.

BTW you can give them hell all you want but you would just be giving it to a rep that couldn't do anything about it.

There may also be back log from previous inclement weather in various points throughout the country. Packages stuck due to those delays get first priority over newer packages. I'm sure usps/ups/fedex are doing the best they can.

Patience...

The package got to a town about 3 hours from here yesterday around 1pm...UPS sucks guys...they deliver on Saturdays, but it's not going to leave there until Monday... and they wouldn't even take an offer to overnight it here for more $. I got my USPS package all the way from Cali in a day, yesterday.

I don't care what the excuse is...that's bad logistics.

There are worse things to be mad at in this world than a set of intakes being a couple days behind :/
