I purchased my 2010 G37x from Carmax as well. It's common for them to get a car and the person entering the car into the system and taking photos to make mistakes. Hell my wife's Honda Pilot had a hitch as an option and in pictures but when it arrived (transferred) no hitch was on it. They are paying us for the hitch we had installed lol. I had a Chevy Silverado from them with the wrong year on the sticker! I ended up getting it for much cheaper than sticker because of the error. All Carmax dealers are different as well. I've dealt with ones from VA, FL, GA and NC. There are two dealerships in Jacksonville and I have been to both. It's all about which salesman you deal with too. If he's a high roller/#1 salesman type, he might have more pull with management or if he's just car savvy he can sometimes work magic. I've worked with one salesman the last 3 cars I got and he always hooks me up. My advice: find a salesman who isn't a jerk, set your expectations that you're either going to go with Carmax, pay a little more but be satisfied or go to an local Infiniti/local "..." dealer and have to play the game to get a deal. I've learned to walk out if I don't like the deal or the car and let them call me. Did that a few times on my STI back in the day...they called me back about 3k under sticker. Be patient man the right ride will come along and you'll be happy. I am!

Oh and almost forgot.... NEVER let the service department run over you at any dealer. Infiniti on Atlantic in Jacksonville's service department sucks. They told me that in order to get my car, which is under factory warranty looked at I'd have to pay a $60 diagnostic fee. I called Infiniti Consumer affairs and quickly found out they've had several issues with that dealership as a whole. Needless to say I went to Infiniti of Orange Park (20 mins away from the other) and they looked at it, no charge and were most pleasant. Personally I believe we as consumers have become timid in our ways and instead of asking or sometimes demanding proper treatment, we shy away. Your money is at stake when buying a car. Don't let a dealership tell you how to spend your money!
