Snow Mode at Highway speeds
Snow Mode at Highway speeds
I had my 2013 G37X (Only 500 miles on it) in Snow Mode while driving on the Interstate going no more than 55-60MPH (Varied speed due to the conditions) for about 20 minutes. Stupid question to ask, but will this harm my transmission or something else in anyway? I have read that you should not drive above 45MPH with the Snow Mode button on, and other posts about it turning itself off above 12-15MPH, even if the button is still ON.
Not sure what to believe and want to make sure I have not damaged the car in some way. And does it just adjust the throttle for the '13 model, or does it also lock in the front and rear at 50/50?
Thanks in advance for any help!

When I got my car in October the dealer told me to use snow mode for snow or heavy downpours. I have used the snow mode only for snow and all I notice is that it retards throttle response. The snowmode works good. I used it at speeds to 45 -50 miles an hour

It was only awesome for me once I replaced the OEM Michelin 18" tires with Blizzaks. The "all season" tires were seriously dangerous in the snow storm we had this week. My Audi A4 with "all season" Michelins did much better in the snow than the Infiniti, and I wasn't happy buying $900 of snow tires.
