project qx56 mt fuji..done

Been meaning to do this for a while, finally got around to it.. since removing the "i n f i n i t i" lettering, the mt. fuji just looked too small and too high.

debadged the old one (the astute amongst you will note that the first pic is actually adhesive..heh..forgot to take a before pic,) and rebadged the bigger mt. fuji a little lower. I'm happy with the look.

Please tell me you didn't stick a "S" from a Corolla on there.

Haha, I didn't even notice that. The new Fuji location looks good, maybe it's the blurry picture...but it appears to be a bit crooked.

heh, no, it's not a corolla s. (and my car is actually an s.) I just hated the stock s badge..wanted something with a little more character. It's one i found online, but it's similar in font to the mini cooper s.

Hrm, does look slightly crooked in that pic. My ocd is going to force me to re measure that tomorrow...

I like the size of the QX badge, looks good back there, might have to consider that one, thanks for being the pioneer!

My first reaction is holy crap you can't take a decent picture to save your life. My second reaction is that the larger emblem actually looks pretty good without the INFINITI lettering. Pretty creative idea, actually. Thumbs up for thinking outside the box.

And I know you like that big "S", but man it looks dumb. Just remove the letters completely now that you have the big Fuji.

Haha - it's deliberate blurring out of my license #

If that's all you're worried about... send me a good quality picture, I'll obfuscate the plate, and brush out the G37xS, too. I promise not to run your plates through my buddy over at the Jersey DMV, stalk you at your address, and steal your car.

That did actually make me laugh out loud - thanks

Was easier to put a quick circular blur filter on via my phone than fire up ps on the laptop. I do need to break out the good camera for some pics of the car. As soon as I get the new steering wheel and ax diffuser on, I'll take some good pics. I'll ps out the s for you, haha.

All in good fun, OP. I think by now you've come to realise that I'm both impressed and horrified at the things you do with your car. It's fascinating.

On this particular thing, I'm sure people would appreciate seeing good photography since it is a visual mod. You've got me curious. I debadged my G37S badge this summer, but left the letters and the Fuji... So this is interesting to me. Honest.

What are the dimensions of the new logo?

LOL, nice to see it's just not my Gs' mods that have impressed and horrified you

I think it looks pretty darn good. I may need to give that a try. My initial thought was to go with a standard G Mt Fuji but I kind of like the larger one.

I may need to call you guys for help with PS, I'm like a monkey doing a math problem when I try and use it...

This really does have me curious, so I shopped up some examples. Hope you don't mind, OP.

Here's an unedited picture (except for the swirly plate ) of my Sedan's trunk, as it looks right now, with the G37S badge relocated under the hood:

https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...-relocate.html

And here's what it would look like if the INFINITI letters were removed:

And here's what it would look like if Mt. Fuji were lowered; (much better, IMO):

And here's what it would look like if Mt. Fuji were larger:

Now that I've gone through this exercise, I've decided I like it exactly the way it is today: small fuji + lettering. But if this efforts helps anyone else form their own personal opinions, well, there it is.

Thanks, aktif8. Sorry if I whored up your thread too much.
