Doors locks when pressing the trunk button

Has anyone seen this, is this normal on the G37? When I press the trunk button on the key or inside the car, it pops the trunk and locks the doors. Once the trunk is open pressing the trunk button again will not lock the car, only when the trunk is closer and I attempt to open it does it open and lock the doors.

Hello,

Sorry no one has tried to help yet. I can definitely say this is not normal; in fact; this is the first time I've ever heard of such a thing. I would recommend bringing it to the dealer and having them look for wiring issues. If it was just your key fob making the trunk pop and door lock, I would say someone just messed up your key programming. It sounds like some wires are crossed and the trunk latch is connected to the lock.

I am going to remove power from my remote starter and see if that is causing it.

Ah, you did not mention you had a remote starter. In that case, I'm pretty sure you have some wiring issues. I would take it to the place that wired it in the first place and see if they can diagnose it. It's possible they connected something that ought not be connected.

I wired it myself, I installed a stand alone EVO ALL bypass that remote starts also. Might me an option that needs to be turned off.
