I think I am going to try to see it tomorrow. I have been looking forward to this one since Damon & Bale announced the movie during the Indy500 in May. In a related note, Netflix is also showing the 24HR WAR again which is the same story, but actually told by Carrol Shelby, the Ford boys, Enzo's son, Mario Andretti, etc. It's also pretty entertaining.

Great to know! I've been waiting for this movie since I first heard about it. I will definitely be buying it as soon as it is released on digital!

I think that is also the same spare they use in the 370Z if I remember correctly. In fact, I think my Evo had a really similar Enkei spare.

Ford vs. Ferrari is pretty good. Saw it yesterday. I don't want to spoil it for you, but you are never going to believe who wins. Haha J/K!

Decided to go with the s-04 pole position, as the reviews looked solid and it's Bridgestones UHP summer tire. Couldn't justify shelling out an extra 500 for the Michelin PS even though I really wanted to. It's just my daily.

Can't wait to have some thicker, better quality rubber on the back so I don't peel out so much when punching it or carving a turn. Mini-raced one of these the other day and got totally smoked, a) because it's got a V8 and more HP, and b) I was spinning the wheels and couldn't get any traction.

RWD on anniversary 18"s 225/50 "Uniroyal Tirepaw" tires right now:
The rears look a little more aggressive than I was expecting, but happy with the fitment. Stock height. Thinking of 1/2" spaces up front to level out the stagger a tad. Looks so much better IMO.

Has anyone tried fitting a different spare in a sedan trunk.
People want a lot of money for OEM infinity spares and Junkyards are getting raided by Q50 guys that dont have them.

I figured there has to be a 5x114 skinny 18 in wheel we can fit back there with a skinny tire.
I've read Kia's, Dodge's, some fords come with 18 spares.

I would believe it would as long as it’s the same overall diameter and width. I called my dealer they quoted me $800 for a oem one and on eBay I’m only seeing 17s for sale dirt cheap
But not any 18s

So these have the possibility of fitting:
370z
GTR
G
Q

Mustangs
Chargers
Challegers
300s

So my clock backlight started flickering last night. Sigh. Guess I better get cracking on getting the OBD2 gauge integrated into the spare clock housing.

Only a matter of time sadly. I'm on my second clock, got one out of a wrecked G so who knows how long it will last. What are you planning on showing?

The clock goes out? I haven't noticed to look for that on mine. I just got her up and running. Dammit Nissan! Can't say I will miss it. The clock on my old '03 G35 was horrible. Couldn't see **** even if it was lit

Edit: Wow never noticed it being lit. I just about learn something new every day with this car. Random question then, these windows. One touch down, are we supposed to have one touch up as well?

I'll probably repair the clock that's in mine and ebay it - having taken the junkyard clock apart for the OBD2 project, repairing the LEDs should be easy enough - looks like high probability of just cold solder joints.

The OBD2 dongle thread is here https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...o-the-car.html although it and the junkyard clock have been setting on my desk for months. I'd think I'll display water temp - useful info that doesn't need a pointer-style gauge like oil pressure. The main interference is the control switch of the obd2 thing is on top of the circuit board and I'm still trying to figure out a way to bring that out. It's SMT and flow-soldered on so I'm afraid if I try to desolder it (to remote mount) I'll screw the entire board up.

Yes, if your battery ever died or was disconnected, they may need to be reset. It is just a matter of holding the window switches up and holding them down for about 5 seconds after the windows roll all the way up and down.
