Looking good, those the reman calipers? Also what rotors and pads etc did you go with? Full package or separate? Praying the warm weather comes to start clearing out all my parts in the garage.

Yes they are remans. They are the Z1 2 piece rotors, and I went with their default pads since I plan on buying a 2nd set of pads for racing to swap back and fourth with in the future. I bought their package.

My battery has been getting weak, struggling with low temps. Today it just didn't have what it takes to start the car. Sucks, I kind of wanted to take it for a drive.

Welp. Need a new battery. This will be its third.

I bought a AGM battery from batteries plus, came with a five year warranty. Starts in -50 wind chills no problem. Might replace it with a Odyssey for weight but could also just relocate to the trunk.

After 5 years on the original battery, I put a new one in from the dealership. I believe Nissan rebrands INTERSTATE batteries.

Makes no sense to me why it would be so weak 2 1/2 years later. I wonder if there's a warranty?

Seems good batteries are running north of $200 to $300. Ouch.

I forgot what a PITA it is to remove the battery... but I did, then I drove it to our Infiniti Dealership because I bought it over the counter there 2 1/2 years ago, and right there on the battery is the Infiniti claim of a "84 Month Limited Warranty!" Well, it turns out "limited" is pretty limited, but still a savings. They pro-rated it and sold me a replacement for $85. The old one was rated at 580 CCA, but tested at 240 CCA (and BINGO!, there's my problem.) The replacement is rated at 700 CCA.

Both of them weigh a ton.

Install later this weekend. It's cold and dark again already.

Yeah the battery removal is pretty dumb. It's not as bad as my dodge stratus was, but it's close (had to take drivers side wheel off).

I know interstate, advance auto, and autozone batteries are all made by the same folks (even though the batteries are slightly different). I always had good luck with Interstate for a regular battery. Optima red-top for alternative. Needed one in the Mini (the battery is inside the hatch, needed that or a $400 externally vented battery) so got a few more. The one in my Jeep lasted 8 years.

I went with the one I linked above over an Optima red-top due to all the complaints I've heard in the last few years about their quality. Ever since they changed their production to Mexico the quality has become junk.

I had heard that too. One of the big box stores had a similar cell-type battery to the optima that was their own store brand - for the life of me can't remember which. Wonder if they're made any better?

Fyi. The x2 from batteries plus and others are made by Odessey. They are the go-to AGM in the off-road world now diehard platinums are no longer.

Run a x2 in the Tacoma and the G. The Tacoma has 2yrs of flawless service with more battery draw-down and charge cycles than most sane people should ever see.

Yep that's why I went with the X2. I heard nothing but good things and the warranty is sick.
