Those SSR GTX's are beautiful wheels, ZM. Saw them at SEMA last year before they were even released and was already considering getting a set. And, as Brad already mentioned, SSR makes some very high quality wheels. I've had SSR GT03's on my Porsche since 2003 and they still look brand new.

Their prices are pretty fair too! I'm sure I could make a decent amount back from selling my black chrome vert wheels. I'll get new wheels once I get bored.

NOT TRUE! Incorrect toe will wear out a tire 10x more than -2 degrees of camber.
By the way, -2 degrees of camber is within the factory spec for my E39.

What Sonic is saying 100% correct. I sold tires for almost 10 years and was also ASE certified for alignments.. that was 2 decades ago and at that time it was next to impossible to convince people that improper toe affects tire wear way more than camber does. It's nice to see that some people actually understand this now.

What do you guys think of metallic gold for my Akebonos on my Vibrant Red G? I feel like colors such as burnt copper are overdone.

I think red and gold can be too much. What would you think of gun-metal? Or a high-gloss, metallic black?

I think a bright gold will be too clashing with VR, what colour are your wheels?

I think gunmetal with red metallic flake would be neat. It could work very well (red decals to set them off)

Except the decal should say 'SEMPER FI' instead of AKEBONO.

That's cringe-worthy for sure.

And Brad, I'm really starting to dig that look. Top 3 right now.

I was wondering how Sean would react to these opinions.

Needs to be a metallic flake powdercoat. And not a light flake, either, but an in-your-face Cadillac kind of sparkle. That gloss black doesn't work for me.

Hmmmm, metallic black with red flake? Decisions decisions. Would be much easier if powdercoating wasn't pricey.

I like the idea of a heavy flake black with red decals.
