3) OE Z springs are softer rate than OE G Sport springs but don't how they compare to your Eibachs. You have to remove the spring from the front coil-over assembly to use just the shock, it would be simpler to keep the Z spring on the Z Damper and just swap the rear spring with the Z part.

 

I swear to god, lately it's been feeling like a chore using a manual transmission. Hoping the STS sparks a renewed positive energy into the whole thing. It's May now... tomorrow I'm going to schedule a date for the install.

Experience? I have 370Z Koni shocks installed. It fits. I'd probably keep your sedan spec Eibachs, just because they're matched to the sedan.

 

1. I heard I'll have to cut off the bolt that's tacked to the rear shocks because ours is different, so thats good news haha
2. I would've but I don't like starting threads for questions that can be easily answered in a chat thread. I will post a DIY type thread.
3. I Agree. I'll be keeping the eibachs most likely. As for it being easier, i don't mind compressing the springs and swapping them.

On a scale of 1-10 what's the difficulty of installing Hotchkis sway bars?

Could i do it by myself or would an extra set hands be much easier?

Depends what "1" and "10" represent. But mostly it depends on whether you're standing under the car, or crawling under it.

Another way to frame an answer to your question is: if I had a lift, or if I were younger. Because tools can be bought, and experience can be had on the fly.

And yet another way to look at this project: installation is likely a charge of one labor hour, so $100 give or take.

It's the easiest performance mod you can do to your car that makes the biggest difference.

You don't need another set of hands at all, but you can if you want.

I m going to say a 2-3 because you have to unbolt some of the exhaust pipes for the rear and if they are rusted good luck...


I did the fronts no problem but the rears were a total pain in the *** so I waited till I put my ARK CBE in and cut the bolts on my OEM exhaust

 

My exhaust bolts weren't bad getting off when we installed my CBE. I've got around 5k on it now.

The under side has never seen any road salt thankfully and my car only has 21k miles on it. It looked real good up under there.

I haven't looked under the rear end where the sway bar is yet to see what i'll be getting into. I guess i should to get a better idea....
