lucky people and your short commutes..... I do 130 km a day QQ (80 murican miles) Makes me question modding my car any further. New job made my 10 min ride to work into an hour...
I've been working at home 100% for three years now, and I don't miss rush hour traffic at all. The bumper to bumper idiocy, all the ahole road ragers, the idiots on their phones, and all the wasted miles put on the car without any joy in driving it... good riddance.

The corner of my skidplate ripped off... probaly when i went over some heavy snow. Used some zip tie engineering. (and yes i cut off the end of the zip tie, i didn't leave it like that)
Maybe in the spring when it gets warm out i'll drill out the snapped bolt and tap a new thread.
I'm 60 miles from the office. I just recently negotiated for a second day a week from home. Stringing together a Thurs-Tues is pretty sweet.
The company I'm working for currently is slowly embracing work-from-home. The time and money saved is significant, and I'm actually more productive working from home.
Yea being a IT Support Analyst where I have to go to peoples desk to resolve the issue does not lend well to working at home. But on the plus side my commute is 15 minutes during rush hour and only 10 when not in rush hour.
The GF is another issue 90 minutes one way without any issue to go 15 miles. non rush hour say 11 at night is 20 minutes on the highway.
A few months ago, I was making a 45-minute commute each way on a good day, going roughly 24 miles. My new job is about 8 miles away in the opposite direction and about a 20-minute commute.
The guy who installed mine said everything is fine and dandy...until you get to the third bolt on each cat...then it's HELL!!!

Why is that? My stock cats have been on the car for less than 200 miles so I wonder if that would be the bolts easier to remove? How much did you pay for install?

If that's the case and you have access to a life then Id try it. Most don't have access to a lift and having that amount of miles recently, the bolts should not be rusted. I attempted this myself with no lift and got 4 out of 6 bolts off. For the life of me couldn't get the 2 demon bolts off and broke 2 extensions in the process. If not for just the frustration alone....the $200 is well worth the price of install imo.

It's not the rust...it's the locations of the bolts.
DaddyFS has it right: DEMON bolts. I don't remember what I paid but, I would have gladly paid double to forego that experience. LOL
I'll be doing the Swifts, Tanabe, and sway bars with my friends though. Should be fun.
if your doing all that already, give it a try esp since you'll have help. I did it solo and got almost done. As mentioned above its also the location of the bolts as you have 2 that can accessed from under the car and then the demon bolt is the one that faced up through the engine bay...well at least on mine those were the demon bolts. Just make sure and get a good 3-4 extensions, spray the bolts the night before for some presoak and give it a whirl. Nothing more satisfying then completing the job...but worse case take it to a shop. just my $0.02
