I wouldn't have driven past that bus. I would have hit the binders and slid into the snowbank to join them

Just push in on the little tab on the clip and it should pop out. Then it'll pop out.

This is what I was talking about with the left hand reverse light.

Quick q about the driver side reverse bulb, how is the white plug into the housing removed? Do you need to push or pull that little tab in the middle? Nothing seems to work, not familiar with this style plug, don't want to apply too much force.

Thanks again & sry for the clutter

IIRC that tab will need to be pulled slightly out of the way by turning the assembly. I had to almost stand on my head to get a good view of it. Once I saw it from a different angle it became a face palm moment. The plug will pop right out.

Hate to admit it but can't figure this stinking thing out

So pull the middle tab out?? Like away from the socket (towards passenger side)? This doesnt seem to loosen anything up

Thanks

The dealer changed the oil in my '11 before I took delivery ... not sure what they put in it, but the VVEL system was noisy. So I changed it out early to put in my usual Pennzoil Platinum synthetic. It quieted the valve noise significantly, just like it did on my '09. Not sure why, but the VQ seems to like the Pennzoil synthetic.

Its the tab on the white connector over by the black wire. Push down on the tab with your thumb and pull to the right.

Quick question. If I KBB my car it does not show an option for the '09 G37xs Sedan. . . .anyone know why that is?

Actually I just figured it out. . . . the Sport package was an accessory package added.

Nada.com is a better source for determining actual market values for vehicles. I only mention this from experience because not all places use or accept KBB, for example insurance companies.

Does anyone have an opinion on buying a set of used calipers? I found a good deal on all four Infiniti Akebono calipers off of an 09 G37 coupe. Only thing it's missing are the rotors which I would buy new.

Anyone have any input or feedback on this?

I would buy a used set of calipers after researching the cost to have them rebuilt if need be.

Never hurts to be prepared for the worst IMO

I could always rebuild myself, or have a tech buddy help me out. I've looked into doing this in the past and the rebuilding process is pretty straight forward. It's just getting the pistons out without cracking them, is the only difficult roadblock.

If it were Z32 brakes, I'd tell you go right ahead and buy them lol. But I imagine the Akebono ones are more complicated.

You might consider shooting a PM to one of the vendors on this forum. I'm sure they could tell you if it's worth the hassle.

With a simple google search I found this - wonder why I didn't see it before. I'll definitely jump on these since the rebuild process looks pretty straight forward.
