Sedan Chat Thread
I agree that shocks and springs are a PITA. My stock struts wore to the point that I wasn't happy with the ride so I swapped for Koni Yellows and stiffened them up a bit while maintaining my stock sport springs. I'm pretty happy with that setup and I've been toying with putting some Swifts on there but it will depend on what I do with my wheels.
There are a lot of nice sets of wheels in the $1200 range. You might check out TSW's offerings.
Lego, if you're going without a drop, you will want to be in the +45 range for the rear wheels, assuming you're going to go 19x9.5. With no drop, they are pretty flush with the fenders.

I got my vacation cash out from my last job on Friday. So I have mod money burning a hole in my pocket, but no real idea of what I want. This usually isn't the case for me
might want to look into the Konig wheel lineup too, pretty decent wheels on a budget, lightweight and many will clear BBKsTreadDepot.com: Konig Wheels
Stupid wheel question:
Is there a reason that when I move to a 9.5x19 that +45 offset is really difficult to find? It seems like in that size, everything is +40.
I really want to keep the rear wheels flush and stay at stock height.....should I not be caught up on the 5mm?

Newt and I were recognising this trend in aftermarket wheels, where manufacturers expect neg camber in your setup. In other words, Lego, the words flush and drop kind of go hand in hand when you go up a size or two with your rims.
Or a custom Forgestar setup where you specify your own custom offset. Or another option would be the Avant Garde bespoke series - Jason over at getyourwheels.com has some good info and could point you in the right direction, given the budget you've got.
Personally, I'm a fan of having too much positive offset because you can always subtract some offset with spacers, so you're covered for running with or without a drop. That's just my preference but it seems the rest of the industry doesn't view it the same way.

The F14 look great but any idea how light? They don't post the weights.
There's quite a few 9.5s w/ more conservative offsets, need to focus on a design style then compare over several brand lines, you're perfect wheel match is out there somewhere. There needs to be a website like match.com for wheel searches
I just spent way too much time reading this thread.
Thanks for posting this. Your seats look fantastic. I have neglected my seats and it shows. Now if I can just figure out a way to get food crumbs out of the perforated holes in the leather...
Rochester, I checked out your build thread and your car looks absolutely amazing by the way.
It's the day after I cleaned the leather with the Leatherique, after having conditioned it the night before, and then rubbed in Lexol Conditioner to finish it off. I've wiped all the leather down with a microfiber towel, and truth is I've never been happier with the seats, since even the day I brought it home. The seats look brand new again.
This Leatherique Revitalizer doesn't just treat the leather, it restores it. Man, I'm happy with the results. Those spider-lines are gone from the seat and side bolsters, the dreaded driver's seat bump is gone, everything is that creamy soft color again, and soft to the touch. Wow.

Kind words, man. You made my day.

Hey man, I just started a new job over in southpark, not sure how far you are form there... but you could check out my 19x9.5 rears (+40), anytime for reference. I am lowered now however on coupe eibach springs...there are some photos on here somewhere before it was dropped.

Looking forward to seeing what you wind up purchasing with the vacation cash out!
