hahaha

From that I assume you also neglected to ask for an INFINITI First Aid Kit. It tucks into that recessed area on the drivers side of the trunk, with velcro.

No winter mats for me but did get the cloth mats, first aid kit, a couple hats and a fancy logo fob for my wifes' key fob and a few small Infiniti logo fob pieces.

I keep my first aid kit in the "secret" cubby in the rear arm rest. I have my manuals in the trunk.

The markup on accessories must be ridiculous.

My car was transferred from another state. When it arrived, it had illuminated sill plates, sunroof deflector, first aid kit, trunk mat, trunk net, wheel locks and clear bra.

I balked at the marked up price because it wasn't what we agreed on. Dealer ended up taking off the sunroof deflector and threw everything else in for free.

Srsly? You flew all the way from NJ to TX to pick up your 6MT Sedan? That's impressive. Kind of brave, too. That must have been some kind of adventure, particularly the drive home.

I get it, though. The 6MT is stupid rare, particularly if the color and interior is a consideration.

When I picked mine up, I hopped on a train for the 400 mile trip between upstate NY and Edison NJ. Left at 6:00 AM, and pulled into my garage at midnight, same day. That was a heck of a day.

I had a choice of 4 different 6mt sedans my dealer could transfer in. All black on black

My dealership simply doesn't (didn't) stock them. Only on order, and even then only once or twice a year.

Yes sir ! Thank you, it definitely was quite an adventure that's why it makes the car even more special to me because I have flew quite a long way to pick it up and drove an even longer way to get back !

On the way back, we stopped in Panama City Beach, FL and then from there we headed to Smoky Mountains in TN so called the tail of the dragon ( I'm sure lots of people are familiar with the name ) , sadly we got to the tail of the dragon roads when it was already dark but I couldn't give up at that point... all that time traveling and actually wanting to get a chance to drive on these sharp and unbelievable curves with slopes that at times I had to peek through the windshield while I was making a sharp turn to know where I am supposed to go... regardless of the fact that it was dark as **** , I gave my 2 buddies a hell of a ride around those roads where at times they would be scared ****less even though I wasn't pushing any limits yet they weren't in the control of the car and infact it was my 2nd day of owning the car so I was getting to know it well

Gotta tell you it was a HELL of an adventure, lots of redbulls and monster energy drinks as I was the ONLY one who drove the whole time all those 2100 miles, picked up the car on Saturday May 11th

EDIT. ( THEN GOT SAT TINTS DONE AT EVS MOTORS OF HOUSTON)

then left and got to FL border around 7am Sunday morning, slept at a motel for couple hours, then thought we were gonna drive down to Miami but was pointless to drive another 8hours just to stay there overnight so we passed on that, decided to stay at a hotel in Panama City Beach the whole Sunday and overnight to enjoy some Florida weather haha, and then left around 1pm Monday to Smoky Mountains and then was back in NJ around 2 or 3pm on Tuesday , I would definitely do it again but differently and would take a week off from work and go down to Miami ahhh great memories !

So I ended up putting about 2100 miles just to get back home to central nj, and yes 6MT is stupid rare and I kinda got a great deal, and liked the graphite shadow as well as really low low miles and of course black interior.

Nice I see you got your car at Ray Catena Infiniti of Edison then which is pretty close to me, where I was looking at 2011 Black G37S 6mt sedan and was the first sedan I test drove back then.

Very cool story, Mike. Sounds like lots of fun.

Back in 1999, my wife and I drove 8 hours to Philly to pick up a new Maxima SE 5MT. Just had to have that car in Pearl White w/beige cloth, and that was a difficult combo to locate.

You're absolutely right... The effort to get a very specific car only adds to the enjoyment of it all.

I'm pretty sure we bought the same ones from the same seller on eBay. I just got mine in about 20 minutes ago and it is OEM. Mine has no problems with it and looks to be 100% brand new, and for only $200?

I should be installing it tomorrow. Heres the install pdf if you need it.

That coolant tank looks awesome Z, along w/ the rest of your motor details. Where did you get that reservoir cap for your plastic tank?

Mike, very cool story about your new car pickup, that Tail of the Dragon does sound like something that's "bucket list" worthy
