$200 is very fair. Good find.
Thanks. It was listed as new

It's also worth mentioning that a 9 year old girl with A.D.D. can remove the grille.

But you're right... the midnight grille can be created by a body shop for $100 give or take.

Yeah, he could remove it himself, but then he'd have to drive to the body shop without a grille!

bring it!

As long as he still has underwear on, I don't see the problem.

I drove around for a week (fully clothed) while the shop had my grille. I just had to avoid big, flying bugs. Really, really big bugs.

I got 3 different quotes to paint my grill, all between 250-300, so ill save $50 and not have to drive around grilleless.

Maybe I can even sell my original grille.....

Hot damn. Okay. That is a lot to repaint a grille. Did you ask for black, or color matched?

Good luck selling your grille. There are a *lot* of them on the private classifieds. I swapped mine for a carbon fiber grille, and kept my stock one. I think I'll look into DIYing an emblemless grille with some fiberglass impregnated bondo. There's a guy in my apartment complex with a G35, he did his and it looks pretty good.

The quotes were to color match, which is probably why they were so expensive.

Yep, depending on what color your car is, it can be several layers to try and match. Gloss black would have set you back about a hundred.

I'm enjoying this forum way too much not to be a Premier Member. I've also learned enough, and had a few excellent FS-thread purchases, that the $30 doesn't even begin to balance the ledger. It's time.

My previous car was a 2003 Maxima SE 6MT, bought brand new 11 years ago. I really, really loved that car, and took amazing care of it (duh). I also modified the N/A bejeesus out of it. It was strong. Lots and lots of fun. Then nearly two years ago, after I bought my G37, I sold the Maxima to a friend, who continued to care for it with similar zeal.

And then this week he got into an accident. It's totaled. He's OK, but the car... so sad.

R.I.P. sweet Maxima.

I've looked into getting an aftermarket grill for my sedan. I was thinking about going with the Black Chrome mesh look w/ the OEM infiniti logo. Similar to the Strut Grills you see on Land Rovers around here.

Sorry to hear about the Maxima, but at least it did its job and kept the passengers safe. It's driving around the great racetrack in the sky.
