So my question is I'm looking for a mild, deep, mellow cat back, no rasp, no drone. I'm looking at the Stillen and Fast Intentions, any advice would be appreciated.
I have a 6MT sedan and I have the stillen exhaust on it. Do you need me to do a gopro recording driving around?

You have to ask?

I don't think Stillen gets a whole lot of love on this forum for their exhaust components, so by all means, let's hear this hotness.

OK Im a Newbie and don't know where to post my question so I'll post it here and maybe someone out there in cyberland can direct me to the correct location or answer my question:

Vehicle Type: 2010 G37s 6MT Sedan
Exhaust: Newly installed Tanabe Medalion Axle back T703130A

Problem: I want to make my exhaust a little louder and aggressive sounding. I know about HFCs, intakes etc. I want to add to upgrade parts of my exhaust system until I have a nice sounding Catback system while keeping the Tanabe Axle back. Some folks say get a "Y" pipe or get a "Center" pipe etc.

Question: Do "Y" pipes eliminate your cats? if so that is not an option! What is a center pipe? What pipe configurations can I swap with my existing OEM exhaust sections to achive a better sound and less back pressure. Remember this is a SEDAN....I love the coupe but Im too darn big to fit in one lol...thanks for any help I can get out there...

I think "pipe" will have fairly little effect on your sound, unless you want resonators. A set of test pipes will make it louder, as will an intake manifold. A "Y" pipe collects exhaust from both cats and combines them into a single stream. Basically, not a dual exhaust. You could always just delete the muffler or swap your intakes.

In the future, if a search doesn't produce satisfactory results, start a new thread. Might not be a bad idea to do that now.

Decided on the Fast Intentions 2.25" with the X-pipe. After talking to Tony at Fast Intentions it made the decision a bit easier, very knowledgeable. 8 weeks and I'll let you know what I think.

you're going to love it. ive got the older style maganflow muffler midpipe, but the new x setup is supposed to sound pretty good as well.

Not modifying the engine, its the exhaust. i challenge you to find an exhaust that is going to produce enough of a gain for you to feel a signifigant gain in performance.

I have the Ark Grip CBE on my 6MT. I've heard a ton of exhaust from the past 7 years of my modding career. Ark, IMO, had a lot of things i wanted:
- Deep sound
- Loud-ish (I actually prefer a low volume deep growl)
- Quality
- CBE straight out of the box with gains

What I don't like is the burnt ricer looking tips. It's OK, but I rather have a classier look. IMO Ark is the best bang for your buck in performance, quality, and sound.

Eight-weeks? Is that how long it takes to get those setups? Are they that small of a shop where they're essentially making products, per order?
If you don't mind my asking, what was your OTD price?

Made to order, about $1400. Now I just got an email from Stillen, order the cat back and get a Stillen cold air intake for free. Now I'm freaking torn. Is the FI that much better? Oh, and it ships in 4 days....
