My 2010 doesn't drive smooth the first few minutes

I live in SW Florida so it is always warm when I first start up my car.
When the car has just been started, in my garage, and I drive about 30 mph up my street, which is about 3/4 of a mile, the transmission is slightly jerker.
I'm use to it but every time my wife is with me she notices it.
In the few minutes it takes to get to the end of the street and turn everything smooth's out.
I have read the numerous complaints about the transmission, but I don't know if my problem falls in the same category.
Driving around town or on my long highway trips when I do a lot of high speed passes on two lane roads, the transmission performs flawlessly.
I'm a bit hesitant to get the latest software flash in case this might cause other drivability problems.
I was wondering if any other owners had this minor problem and it was fixed with a software update.
Thanks for any responses,
Tom

I'm much happier w/ my 09 7AT after the TSB reflash, the hesitant nature when cold is pretty common. You should notice smoother behavior all around, that includes when it's cold.

Even if its 100 outside, the engine and transmission oil require time to get to operating temperature. Normal.

I talked to the service manager and he said I would have to leave it over night, so they could see what I was talking about when it was cold.
He also said that the transmission software update was for drivability for when the car was up to operating temps.
I figure I'll leave it the way it is, since it is a very minor annoyance and I don't feel like driving 100 miles round trip two days.
I'm also fairly **** about people working on my cars, that's why I do my own periodic maintenance.
Thanks for the responses.
