I'm honestly disappointed in the way Infiniti handled this. I expected the G to be discontinued and the new model to come out, not be re-positioned as their budget car and leased out at ridiculously low prices.

Oh well, I've already made my plan to keep the G for 8-10 years and stack away some money to upgrade to a 911 or something similar down the road.

The base G37 won't get much additional discounts, because people are lining up to lease them for $329/mo.
Posted in the other thread but want to help anyone searching around to compare pricing:

Since it looks like people will really be trying to scoop up 6MTs for good prices I'll chime in:

2013 6MT Sedan black on black - Sticker $43610 I walked out 39333.44 with $319 month 24 months 12k a year. $2160 out of pocket and $1000 Infiniti loyalty.

I could've negotiated more -- I know another dealer was willing to beat it by some $ or include maintenance I just was foolish, didnt want to wait a week for white and the dealer swore up and down they got me approved (First auto loan, sole signer)

I was thinking about fighting for dealer holdback, too and have tried to refrain from looking at what others got their cars for and havent really seen anyone lower than $38.5k but including at least OEM front lip would've been nice. Wonder what people can do now with any remaining 6MT sedans

I just want a 7A Sport. $35 i can afford but don't really want to spend that much, and the pricing seems to be off on used ones. I mean, who would pay 5 grand less for a 3 year old used one. I'd go new without skipping a heart beat.

I think the used G market will make some substantial adjustments over the next year based on the new pricing model.

Anyone know when the g37 price drop will actually hit the dealers? I see that the MSRP has been reduced on the Infiniti USA website, but the prices are still higher than MSRP at the dealerships around here.

Probably when the new batch arrives at the dealerships. The ones you're seeing are probably what's left before the price change with old sticker. If you are actually considering purchasing one, they might adjust the price to the current MSRP.

Dealers are getting completely new window stickers for the cars that they already have.

I agree, it is rather odd. First, they decide to replace the G with the Q50 to be aligned with the new naming scheme. Now, they decide to keep the G along the Q for 2 yrs. Basically, they are making the G a lowerer end car, or a budget model compared to the Q50. So the poor chap who paid $45k+ for a loaded G37 this year will now end up with a "budget" model car to the public (since no one knows what packages he has as he is zipping through traffic). And how is this going to work with their new naming with all Qs and QX?
A model comes stock with leather against a model comes stock with fake leather, I don't believe anyone would think the former is lower end. Unless Infiniti makes all future stock G fake leather same as the Q. But this is quite possible.

That may be, but try that argument with the person who paid $5k+ more for a base Q50 compared to a base G37.

That extra 5K is pure profit to Infiniti taken from someone who has to have the newest toy in the street. I am OK with that so long as it's not my money. Until I see substantial improvement made over the G37, not likely worst as the Q in its current state, I am keeping my G37. Infiniti has the same problem as BMW to F30, the new car is bloated and less sharp than the G from MT's first test. If I want a Lexus, I will buy a Lexus... but wait... isn't the new Lexus lineup more like what Infinti used to be... driver's cars?

I've noticed a lot of websites still show the old MSRP, but I know it may take them some time to update. What I haven't noticed is really any reduction in used pricing. I guess I understand that, but the average consumer I'm assuming would be smart enough to figure out a new one isn't so far off the old pricing.

Interesting to see that the "S"/6MT trim will be discontinued, since it doesn't have a direct competitor in the Q lineup. Grab those 6MT sedan quick gentlemen!

Hell, I love the Sport package and think it's a value at the window sticker price, but a brand new car vs used is a whole new value prop.
the used market for sport sedans is weird. When I was shopping, the 6MT was highly incentivized (Still think it is)

I ended up paying less than $2k more for a brand new car versus 2010-2012 with 8k-25k mi, and even though I only wanted CPO, no dealers were flexible in price (<$1000). No brainer to me.
