Wow. AT this point do I say go for it for $10K and get a new one? 1st world problems but it's a real one!

Right. Used G37s with Sport are still going for well over 30k in my neck of the woods. Seems silly to pay this when you will be able to get a 2014 with Nav and Premium for right around the same price. Hell, I love the Sport package and think it's a value at the window sticker price, but a brand new car vs used is a whole new value prop.

is that from any sources?> because think about this, customer bought car less than 2 years and they now downgrade the whole car by a whole lot, com on infiniti! Why do we have to buy from them if we all know this is depreciate.

look at BMWs...

so wrong, so Nysschen!

The G will have leather. Only options will be premium and navigation. No sport. No technology.

I agree, it is rather odd. First, they decide to replace the G with the Q50 to be aligned with the new naming scheme. Now, they decide to keep the G along the Q for 2 yrs. Basically, they are making the G a lowerer end car, or a budget model compared to the Q50. So the poor chap who paid $45k+ for a loaded G37 this year will now end up with a "budget" model car to the public (since no one knows what packages he has as he is zipping through traffic). And how is this going to work with their new naming with all Qs and QX?

In my opinion, the general public will not view the Q50 as a successor to the G37, but rather, a whole new model in the lineup. I think Infiniti is either scared to let go of their bread and butter in fear the Q will not sell well. Or they are confused on what direction they want to go with the new naming thing.

This is a very bad PR eff up by Infiniti. They are already re-branding the G37 coupe to Q60 before the actual redesign takes place. So dealers with have 2 almost exact same cars except for the badges (and of course different door counts).

Wow, just wow. I agree they need an entry level price point to compete with the BMW 320, but why not just wait until the turbo-4 model is out?

Well said.

infiniti isn't confident the Q will takes over the market due to the same old VQ37 , with a minimal integration of tech on the Q which diminishes the G37 Technology package..I think this could only explains why Q existed along with G..

bad bad bad PR for infiniti, someone should gets fired.

Been shopping used 6MT's for a couple of months (to replace my '09 xS). No price erosion so far - they still seem to be a hot item in the south and on the west coast (which is about the only area you can find them). I'm expecting some erosion on selling my xS due to the price drop on new x's.

Now I'm having a serious dilemma. I had such issues trying to buy used, and I don't consider my expectations to be that high, but boy have I seen some beaters with 30-45K on them. My car has mileage well beyond these and the paint and interior is substantially cleaner looking. Some people treat their leases like gold, others like they stole it!

You won't find any S manual sedans being discounted.

The base G37 won't get much additional discounts, because people are lining up to lease them for $329/mo.

G37s always get about 5-9k off sticker every year, at the end of the year because they are not flying off shelves here in Miami, where everything is dominated by Audi, MB, BMW and Lexus.

Bought my 09 sedan for $29 from $36 and my 10 coupe for $33 from $38 without even negotiating on the latter much. This was when both cars were new.

However the Q50 will not be discounted much for the next year or 2, so you can get a good G37 (almost an identical car) for a lot less. Personally the styling of the Q sucks, but the G was unique. The new Q looks like a bloated Infiniti SUV/Mazda6

Saw my first white Q50 yesterday with dealer plates. It was at night on residential highway so all I could see was front, passenger side and rear. Initially thought it was a BMW then when it pulled ahead for a moment I saw the Q.

From the brief encounter it looks like Infiniti is really working that angry eagle eye look. Headlights and four brake lights all have that appearance. One thing that surprised me is there is no exhaust note whatsoever. Current G sedans are the quietest with a slight hum and the coupes and FX have a nice throaty sound but the Q was as quiet as a hybrid. All I saw was Q50 so it may have very well been a the hybrid but I couldnt tell.

I'm pretty sure if it was a hybrid, there will be badgings galore plastered everywhere.

THIS

Are they going to budge on the lower price, or just leave it at $33k. I mean, it would be pretty crazy if they sold them for $28-30k with some negotiating.

That sucks for those who paid more very recently. Way to kill your customer fanbase.

oh yeah, where do the coupes fit into this mess?

Are they also $5k off?

Are they still going to be asking $40k for them?

Are they butchering the manuals for the coupes as well... AHHHH
