The notion that modern paint is less durable than the old, much more poisonous predecessors, is absurd. Modern paints and adhesives are an amazing culmination of technology. I can easily say that the paint on my cars from the last decade is totally superior to that on any of my prior cars from over the many years.

Also, EVERY car forum complains about the paint on (insert car model here). Yet, I've never had any major issues. As stated above. You get out, what you put in. If you drive too close to people, the front of your car is going to suffer the consequences.
