Our cars are gonna look outdated really soon.
I love my G37 but the Q50 looks better to me.
This whole thread reminds me of a thread about the new 2014 Corvette - I love that car but some people apparently hate it - I'm guessing a lot of haters couldn't afford it to begin with or just don't like American cars in general. Anyway, I can't wait to see the Q50...

I was pretty amazed at how polarized opinions on the new Stingray were as well. Lots of "Vette guys" hate it. It's leaps and bounds ahead of the C6 in so many ways but styling will always be subjective. I see the comments on how the new Q50 front end is too busy, or schizophrenic, or whatever other thing people say, and the some of the same people laud the simplicity and classic design of the BMW. But to me the style differences between the E90 and the F30 looks about the same as the difference between the Current G and the upcoming Q.

Well Q50's are hitting dealerships on August 5th so hopefully we will see a review before then. I personally think the front end looks great, the back is well, not so great.

That will definitely get me interested. I can get over the front end and bland rear end for a FI and hopefully a better AT transmission.

I'm sure once the q50 hits the dealers things will go well, although I have to admit the lexus is350 looks very very good, I test drove one just for kicks and was impressed. Gunna be tough for the q50 to beat it, I ve seen the Q in person and IMO it's not as good looking as 350.

I'm one of the people that doesn't like the front end styling of the Q50.
What I don't like is the two protruding parts of the bumper that looks like they were added on by a 12 year old.
I also don't like the run flats and the electric steering.
If I have to compromise and get a car setup like that I might as well get a 335i, which is what I will no doubt get unless something else pops up that interests me, before I'm ready to trade.
I bought my 2010 G37, in March of 2010, instead of a 335i because of the problems BMW was having with the high pressure fuel pump failing and I didn't want run flats.

Tom, close to my thoughts on the Q50. Add the over hanging taillights and chrome and I left Infiniti after 10 years and 2 G35s. My plan was to buy a Q without seeing in person as I did why my G35 in 2007. After seeing pics & videos of the Q I could not handle the front or rear.
Congrats to those who preordered. I know the Q will be solid as my Infiniti purchases were. This model just wasn't for me. Hopefully I'll be back to infinti for my next ride.

Tom,
I too have mixed feelings about the front end....the back is ok however IMO. What bothers me the most is the run flat tires. Perhaps they are better now....but they are known to be noisy and expensive. Also, they are of little value if your flat tire occurs in rural South Dakota....were I drive twice a year. Fortunately I believe a temp spare if available unless its a hybrid. The jury is out of the electric steering until driven.

Local dealership has a couple on stock. They just can't sell them. Infiniti headquarters not letting them be sold until they get a software update that hasn't been released. Backseat legroom seems much smaller than the current G sedan. Spare tire costs $200.00 as addon option.

Saw a new black IS250 AWD on the street the other day. Man that thing is ugly, front and back.

Spare tire is an option? Don't tell me they're putting run-flats on this thing!
