Well if it's a big sales flop ( which I seriouly doubt) then the deals will be even better.. I see that as a win win for me.. less of them on the road so more unique and better prices

I don't think anyone in that price range will hesitate to buy the New Lexus IS or Mercedes CLA over the Q.
I test drove the 2014 IS350 F Sport, it was a beautiful car inside and out... Only complaint was the navigation is a little far back and the its not as roomy in the back.
I really don't see the Q being a huge hit, I really think they missed the mark on aesthetics, but this is just my opinion
I haven't driven the IS350 Fsport. I'm sure it drives great, but I'm not sold on the looks of the IS. To me, it's worse than the Q. But looks are subjective, so I'm more concerned with the overall performance. Specifically, the 7AT of the Q and handling. Coming from German cars, I find the G's handling is ok, but not as refined as a BMW or Audi.
The Lexus IS350 Fsport is 8AT!! LOL. I have seen both Q50S and IS350 F sport in person and I would still buy the Q50S over the IS350 F sport. Not being a Infiniti fan boy or anything.

IS is small, CLA is more expensive and probably less reliabie. So while I don't have a crystal ball, we shall see. Seems there are three possibilities:
- they do better than expected
- they do what they expected
- they don't do what they expected

CLA could top out quite a bit higher, but starting at $47k it's in the ballpark, plus it'll dust the Q all day long. Reliability may be an issue but AMGs do pretty well in that regard compared to the "regular" MB lines from what I've heard.

But then again the Q50 hybrid has a lot of tech and hopefully great gas mileage. Different strokes for different strokes.

Very true^^ Rarely does a car come along that just nails everything on my wish list and the MB CLA AMG looks like it did, can't wait to give it a look & a drive, then start negotiations w/ the wife
CLA is a much smaller car. Only works if there's no need for back seat usage on a regular basis.
Dimension-wise they're pretty similar, the CLA is 2.3 inches shorter, same width, same weight, but a 6inch shorter wheelbase, probably about like a 3 series.
Good review, but honestly the car is very boring on the outside, from a side and rear view it's just....blah typical car. Front view is very cool and unique, interior is cool but overall to me it's a very average car. I've seen in person in and out. The lexus IS350 makes the q50 look pretty bad, that is my opinion though.
If I owned a 2011-2013 g37 sedan I would not bother trading up.
I watched this whole thing, listening to this kid go over all these fancy gadgets and electronics, only to have it end without actually driving the car.
