Hope you all have better luck with the exhaust. I had to paint my mufflers flat black just to keep the rust away, otherwise I had to get under the car every time I washed the car to polish the rust off with steel wool. The complete system is rusty as ****, tips are the crap ones and the fitment is way off on the driver side. As stated, for the price and sound it's not that bad of an exhaust but I will NEVER buy from TopSpeed again. Especially after contacting them less then two months after install about the rust issue and they said it was due to the conditions I drive the car in....driving my car in the rain supposedly is what caused the rust so quickly. The sound is far superior then stock so this will do until I can eat my hands on something nice.

It was your post that I referenced earlier (post 66). Is high-temp paint an adequate rust inhibitor? I prefer that look, anyway, but don't want to have to constantly touch it up.

Drone is an absolute showstopper for me, so I eagerly await your update regarding this problem.

Just got my exhaust installed yesterday with the good tips. Fitment was perfect! Sound is very close to oem until you open up the throttle. Just amazing for the price.

Glad you're happy w/ it, mine has a noticeably deeper rumble at start up and quite a bit more volume throughout the rpm range, I'd say about 25% louder than stock.
Post some pics when you can

The mufflers has been painted for about 4 months now with no issues with rust showing back up. Well except for the tips but im not about to paint those black. Ill just keep scrubbing those with steel wool lol

I've been toying with the idea of picking the system for my 09x, but have concerns over rust and drone. Anyone else have comments - definitely not looking for any cabin drone with the system. How is everyone's Top Speed holding up rust wise?

It's either this system or a full Fast Intentions for me.

I have had mine since May and still looks the same as when I bought it. Honestly the drone is almost non existent. Most of my friends think I'm crazy and don't even consider it a drone. Over all it was definitely worth the money.

Have had my Top Speed on my first V36 and then carried it over to my current V36, No complaints. Its quit and almost undetectable when idling or crusing. But When you step on it, Well it has just the right amount of growl and base for my taste.

No rust issues either, had it for 1.5 years now and no problems.

hey,
Did you do the installation yourself? I just installed mine not to long ago. And noticed that the back side was uneven. Or thats probably my fault for not watching the alignment during installation. But was wondering if you had a rattling problem after installation?

Had mine installed professionally. Mine was really uneven too, they had to bend the hangers to even it out.
