They actually kept the bargain aspect on the low end of the spectrum, at least for the introductory pricing, and this is where they sell the most cars, so that remains. But it seems those that want the options will be the ones experiencing the price hike... but in all honesty thats to be expected, esp if they want to be on the same playing field as BMW they have to be confident enough to charge the premium too. And you can't expect the cars to compete head to head with BMW and the likes on EVERY aspect for a cheaper price... jus don't work like that. Something will be skimped on. And it looks like they found a good strategy of start low get the bargain market and if you everything... be prepared to pay for it. but I am sure that base price will begin to creep up too the more people adjust to the new more premium Infiniti.
Pricing for the entry-level $36k Q50 is absent many of the options available on the entry-level $37k G37 Journey - it even has cloth seats!
Doesn't have cloth, its a leather-like material. A base G has always been low on features...
Also remember there will prob be a turbo-4 to be released later that will probably be priced lower.
Da Mayor, did you attend the Ride n Drive?
no they don't have anything over in New York yet. Personally even if the turbo 4-cylinder comes out it will still be less reliable than the VQ engine that has been running flawless. Boosted engine does not mean faster.

Oh for sure I know it won't be faster than the 3.7 but will be something thats a little closer to the 328i than the G25 was and to get back in that price point the G used to occupy and for those that don't care about have 300hp+ V6.
And that sux. I thought this was the event they brought all the dealers and media to nationwide.
GD that looks good! I was leaning towards a 328 or ATS with 6MT, but after test driving both I am quite underwhelmed (to be fair, the 328 was an auto).
Why is Infiniti torturing the 6MT customer base? I know its coming later down the line, but I jumped on the 18 month lease deal last July so I could slide right into the Q50. Even if I choose to get the auto, I know I will regret it just like I did last time when I got an auto 2010 G37.
