Almost got hit by g37 sedan police car

Only wish I had pics or video.
I'm at a large 4 way intersection, I have the green light.
Usually I lead foot through this particular intersection.
It's one of those lovely nyc camera lights, so once that light goes yellow you better be accross.

Now as I am traveling through the intersection, I don't hear sirens I hear a vhr@ wot.

I'm saying someone is doing triple digits, now I see them & already was on the brakes.

They jam the brakes car was packed to the brim with dts, I wave to let him know I see you. Don't worry, I'm not deaf/blind.

Watch out nyc g37 cop cars, think hard when you see a blacked out g.

It was a total disregard for anyone's safety, including themselves.

If anyone would have been crossing the street on foot, they def would have gotten hit so reckless.

Unbelievable

Don't care what emergency you got, but barreling through a busy intersection at 3x the speed limit is a tradedy waiting to happen.

He almost lost it as is, I can tell you vdc was on.

This was in Staten Island, but they were super reckless.
Don't doubt if its from queens/Brooklyn they were 100% cops.
Honestly unless someone just got murderd, why risk wrecking before you get where your going.
Typical nypd jerkoffs, good thing they had some really bright lights going.
How do you approach an intersection at that speed.
Posted speed limit is 35, ill estimate easy 100-120 before they hit the brakes.

Another couple of seconds & my life would have been changed forever.

Good thing I heard them, because by the time they hit that intersection kaboom nasty crash.

I'm wondering if this could be the Jewish police, or VAS or whatever they call them. They drive there own personal cars and add lights and sirens to them .Those guys drive alil bit too extreme for city streets.

Nah, it was nypd. I have seen those guys your referring to in Brooklyn, but usually just a cherry light or maybe a single red/blue flasher.
Way to many high end lights going, I thought it was a new Taurus they have tons of those around.
It was a police package, it had front side & rear high end led flashers with siren.
plus limo tints blacked out tailights.

If I was in my wife's car I would have probably gotten smashed.

This g was lit up like a road block.
Front side/rears all going, not like that one.
That one was more low key, it had painted tails.

I will bet it was some volunteer organization member as the nypd doesn't use G's and also don't put that many lights on their cars. My friend works in their mechanic shop he works on their cars.

That's great I have family that's nypd, not mechanics.

Ever see one of those new Taurus, you would go Effen blind so many lights.

Ok, nothing personal but here are the following undercover cars I have seen in action.

Modded Sti chased a mustang down, he flew off the highway went a little sideways. This was by local school.

Sti lights him up, uniformed officer steps out tickets are issued.

Next, a beefed up nypd mustang either 07-10 white with blue lettering.
Doing traffic enforcement by JFK.
With the exact words on rear bumper "this car has been seized from a local drug dealer"

Or my favorite, the narcotics cops swoop in on a kid cleaning his car.
Driving a dark blue Hyundai turbo, I laughed so hard almost pissed my pants.
Like they cought some big time dealer.
To bad the kid was wiping down his car, so they looked like a bunch of tools guns out.
They tried to do it quick, but like 100 people were there & saw the whole thing.
Not to mention the million other cars they use on the down low.
Hence the word undercover.

If I thought for a second they were not cops, I would have chased them down & called the cops myself.

They could have seriously hurt, let me not forget.

The last experience was on a 2 lane road. This undercover doesn't like that traffic is moving slow.
It had to do with a cement truck going 20.
Out of nowhere, like 3 cars back he tosses on lights/sirens.
Just one problem, the traffic coming head on almost killed an elderly couple.
He barely squeezed through, almost caused a head on collision.
So I'm not a fan, even though I have family on the job.
You can't pick your family.

My local Sheriffs department will buy cars cheap from auctions and throw lights on them, since its cheaper than buying an almost $40,000 Charger or "Interceptor". A lot of them drive Excursions, Explorers, Tahoes, Chargers, Altimas, ect.

Our local Sheriff's department has a G35 they 'confiscated' that they use as a training car during scenarios at the academy. The crown vics can't keep up with it.
