If anyone is getting a quote for more than MSRP, hmu and let me see what I can do for you. No commitmen. Keep in mind that I am in the middle of the cournty and 98% of my inventory will be awd.

Like I said, neither one of those cars gives you that awesome power feel that you get with somewhat higher-end cars like the S4/S5/335i. In particular, the quattro grip + low-end torque of the Audis result in amazing acceleration with great traction - just no comparison between my G37 and my S5 in that area.

The Q50 with the VQ37VHR should perform similarly to the G37 - why would it be any different? People have been hopeful for an improvement from the hybrid, but weight is the problem with that one.

In my view, Nissan has been neglecting engine development for a while, so they've fallen behind in introducing new technology in mass-produced engines. This is why they need to get an engine from Mercedes for the Q50. They've also fallen behind in transmissions (other than CVT). Hopefully, the new Jatco 8-speed will correct that.
S4 and S5 are a in different class of car compared with the G37. They cost up to double the price of a G37, so comparing them is ridiculous. Because if you do want to do such a comparison then compare the 328i with the S4 and S5 then. And do you want to compare your S5 performance with a GTR? I suppose not.
Don't get me wrong, I like the 328i, but In my real life experience, the G37 speeds surpassed the 328i any time, any where.
But all this power talks is too simplistic. If the Q50 had improved its handling and refinement then 328 horse is quite a lot and most people can't handle that kind of power anyway. I traveled the interstates a lot, and you think if you have a fast car like the S5 you will own the road? No, a crazy kid in a Corolla who is willing to speed to 110 mph for a minute will have you beat.

I am waiting to see how Q50 perform.
I drive the 328i now and coming off the G37x.
When in sport mode, the 328i does feel a lot more responsive and agile than the G37.
It might not be a faster car at WOT but it is a more enjoyable car to drive in the urban city condition.

Agreed. That is the problem. Everyone compares the G as if they are on a racetrack everyday, WOT all day long.

So NO ONE here has driven the Q50, but SOME of you know that it wont be quicker/handle better than the G37 because it uses the same VQ37?

It also wont get better Fuel economy because it still uses the same VQ37 right?

Guys come on, the Q50 is Infinitis make it or break it car just like the G37 was. Best believe its an evolution with improvements over the last generation.

You dont always have to change the engine to make it a better car.

I got my money on it being quicker and improved fuel economy and this is on the 3.7 car.

I believe that your '09 is defective.

328 will be faster when the G37 driver does not want to race you. I know I won't bother till I see a 335.

With the same powertrain configuration, I don't think there would be much a difference, but who cares, I love my G37 so far so good. I am going to stick with it until they put a 450 hp motor in the Q50.

Why would I want to race somebody on a public road?

Ben Poore, VP Infiniti Americas, stated the 3.7 is slated to get about 3 mpg better fuel economy. There is also a chance the car could be quicker. These things cannot be called until the car is tested, yet there seem to be so many CONCRETE statements in this thread about what the Q50 WILL NOT be capable of...

^^ Hmm.. the 3.7 still make the same hp and tq, it's unlikely any improvements have been done. So it's left to see the changes they put into the 7AT. Taller gears would gain mpg but lose performance given the cars have minimal weight difference. Maybe a quicker shifting AT?

The model with the steer-by-wire may gain a little under 1 mpg by eliminating the hydraulic pump, although I'd rather have the good old hydraulic steering.

Awesome.

I love how you so easily made fun of pretentious people with simple sarcasm. Well done, Crespo.
